"Ottawa’s best Thai restaurant. Been going here for years for dine-in and take out. Service is always friendly and efficient. The vegetarian options are excellent and can be made vegan. My faves are the rice wrap (best filling peanut sauce in Ottawa), red curry and eggplant (never had eggplant like this anywhere else. Bravo They have an easy to use takeout order feature on their website as well."

"Small place, very clean, great food. Decent portions, well prepared dishes, friendly staff. I had a chicken/potato dish in a curry coconut sauce. I have had this before at other Thai restaurants, here there is much more chicken than potato. Reasonably priced. A very happy experience."

"First time at Kanata Noodle House after hearing so many good things about it! We ordered a medium bun bo hue and a large pho, as well as the beef sashimi appetizer. Both the BBH and pho were delicious! Not overly oily and flavourful broth that wasn't just pure salt. I loved the options with the BBH for different meats and noodles whereas usually there's no options at other places. The beef sashimi was not my favourite. I've had this dish in a Vietnamese restaurant in Toronto before and I loved it. Unfortunately it just didn't hit the mark. The seasoning on it lacked salt, and was alllll acid. Literally just tasted like a LOT of lime on beef. It would be better if it was more balanced. However, overall I did enjoy my meal here. Portions were huge. COVID-19 protocols were being followed and I felt safe dining here."

"We eat vegetarian, in fact preferably vegan, and although we are NOT fans of spicy food the staff at Pookies was able to accommodate us a with several dishes that were both incredibly delicious and not spicy. Simply amazing. The peanut sauce on the Rice Paper tofu rolls was the best we have tasted, anywhere! Every dish at our table of 5 had rave reviews. The veggies were cooked to perfection. This is a restaurant we have added to our favorites list. Simply said we were pleasantly surprised and pleased to have stumbled upon this rare gem in a rather inconspicuous strip mall."

"I had a spicy chicken broth soup with Vietnamese meatballs and rice noodles. The broth was excellent. The meatballs are authentically bouncy with bits of gristle added on purpose for texture. I 'll be back to try the Pho (beef broth) soups, since the chicken broth was so good. I didn 't mind the service; I find that many owner-operated Vietnamese restaurants are often quite laid back, even passive, by Anglo standards. Never bothered me to get their attention, or go to the cash to play. I assumed it was cultural. Hey, this is Canada! Vive la différence!"
