"A very pleasant discovery (beautiful decoration) and a very complete lunch with a wide choice (individual or with formula) of good products well presented. I appreciate it."

"We just enjoyed the dessert entrance! Simple dishes but very well made. A very good place without a chichi. The products are fresh and from the corner, the kitchen is perfect. However, the dishes are very copied, it can be complicated to finish them...! The service is very user-friendly, effective and smiling. We had a good time."

"Excellent surprise, a very fine local cuisine with more distant inspirations: grilled mackerel cooked mid spicy with tact, curry of surprising and explosive Goaese watermelon, through pigs as melts as I have never tasted. An authentic and racy kitchen, bravo to both!"

"Having heard good things about this restaurant, we booked Sunday lunch online then called ahead to say one of us is allergic to pork. We were told that wouldn’t be a problem but the starter was a charcuterie plate with no choice! We mentioned that we’d said no pork but were told ‘That’s it!’ so not a great start. There was also a basket of fresh veg and homemade anchoïade but we haven’t been many places where that would be called a starter, more like a free amuse-bouche. The main course was similarly restricted. Jean-Guy (Bob said they’d run out of lamb and duck, there was no ‘Proposition du Chef’ and they had no single pieces of beef so no choice at all but to share a huge rib of beef on watercress, served with herb potatoes and no further veg. Funnily enough, we did later see huge king prawns being served but maybe that was for the regulars .... We weren’t asked how we wanted the beef cooked so it came back far too rare for one of us with the middle being just raw. It was cooked on a wooden fire outside, which was interesting to watch. We drank a Côtes du Rhône, which was fine and decently priced. Service was efficient though nobody ever came to ask if everything was ok, which it wasn’t really. Again no choice for dessert but a very tasty praline crisp, which we both enjoyed. Lucky we didn’t call ahead and say we had a nut allergy..... At €45 a head we did expect more choice, especially given the online menu. Music was very entertaining, a couple of guitarists playing mainly French music like Jacques Brel (yes, we know he was Belgian! and gypsy music too. At the end we were given the wrong bill, with all sorts of things on that we hadn’t ordered. We told the lady twice but she insisted twice that it was ours so we paid anyway and Chez Bob was out of pocket by €10 because there was no wine on the bill. A bit of an all round comedy end to our visit. This place is clearly adored by its public and seems to be a rite of passage for visitors to the area but we did feel that we overpaid for what we ate and can’t see many ‘tourists’ like us making a return visit. Tant pis."

"We found this restaurant by chance whilst looking for a good lunch in the Camargue. It was quite late, after 13.30 when we phoned for a table for 3. We'd just tried to take a table in a restaurant nearby, only to be informed by the owner that at that time of day, we would have to have the plat du jour, which was too heavy for a hot day. We used the Maps app to find the Le Resto du Paty it is in a quiet location with tables on the terrace inside. We received a warm welcome. The restaurant is run by a family who claim to serve simple food done well. I think that they underrate themselves, we had a superb lunch. A friend I shared their delicious main course salad as a starter, consisting of Burrata mozzarella, jambon cru, leaves, tomatoes olives. It was a large serving providing generous portions for the two of us. My husband had a mixed salad, again a very generous serving of fresh ingredients. We all had the same main course, gambas grilled with herbs served with three colours of Camargue rice. The gambas were superb, fresh-tasting, hot but not over-cooked as they often can be the rice was a new experience, also delicious. It was explained that the three different colours of rice needed to be cooked separately as they require different cooking times, they can then be mixed before serving, a very useful tip. We chose a rosé, a vin gris, perfect to complement the meal. After such good courses we couldn't resist puddings. The crême brûlée was very good the pannacotta with a fruit coulis very light much enjoyed. We only wished we had found this restaurant before in all the years we have been visiting this area. We'll certainly be returning."
