"Just had such a great time at Moreland’s Tavern tonight. Matt, the owner was there and made it an amazing experience. My college age daughter was in town visiting and I couldn’t remember the history of the building they are in (which is a gem in and of itself) and Matt came over, pulled up a chair, brought up his laptop and phone and shared a lot of pictures of the renovation and the background of it coming into being. He shared some amazing stories of the old soda fountain from when it was a pharmacy, that some of the locals that come in still remember from way back! Oh and of course the food was excellent as always! The tots (as mentioned by others) are not to be missed, nor the neighborhood service making everyone feel as if we’ve all been friends forever. Thank you for a great experience, my daughter is jealous I have such a great, local place to come to!"

"My friends and I came to Dupont on a rainy Wednesday night, and fortunately, this restaurant had an outdoor area that was covered with heaters. We decided to sit down and try it out, and we had a good time. I do love the fact that the space was very cozy and COVID friendly, but the food was mediocre at best and the service was alright. I decided on the Arancini and the Carbonara the Arancini was not bad (but I did feel like it was frozen rather than freshly made), but the Carbonara was watery and not good. I think the portion size is decent for the price you are paying, but I just did not enjoy the Carbonara it honestly just felt like pasta with the bare minimum of cream with some bacon sprinkled in. In addition, we had to flag down our servers several times for water refills and because of a forgotten appetizer. All in all, it was an okay one time experience, but I would not come back unless I really needed outdoor seating and was in the area."

"Posted on GrubHub as well. It was okay. I got the chicken sandwich. The meat looked and smelled like it was boiled, not grilled. I checked inside to make sure it wasn't raw because the smell and taste was off.Like it was old or something. It was odd.It was slightly pinkish inside, but what you might find when meat is boiled.Accidentally dropped some of the chicken on the floor, and my cat ate (some of) it, so I assume it was safe. The white sauce sorta reminded me a bit of mayo, but it along with some fries and lots of ketchup made the sandwich tasty.I give it 2 stars because the food wasn't cold, it was packed neatly and tied. However, I didn't like tasting potentially old and bland meat. It lacked seasoning, so maybe that was the problem?I have digestive issues (didn't use the hot sauce), so I'll munch on some ginger and pray that I don't become ill. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but I thought I was going to vomit while I was eating the food.Will give this place a hard pass and never order again. Even as I pen this, I worry if I'm dealing with acid reflux in my stomach or something else..."

"Can't remember the last bar I went to without any tvs, very refreshing. Great spot to grab a beer and chat. Place was busy and music wasn't too loud. Lots of jackalope decor and pinball machines. Min $10 credit card limit, so bring cash or open a tab (or buy rounds for your friends)!"

"I had the pleasure of enjoying both breakfast and dinner here and I have one word…. MMMMMMM! The BLT Benedict was the best I have ever tasted, the thick crispy bacon and tomato jam really took the traditional benedict to a whole new delicious level. For dinner I ordered the Sweet Corn Veloute with crab hushpuppies and heirloom tomatoes – again, like NOTHING my taste buds have ever tasted. It was full of flavor. My only complaint, I wanted more of it. The staff was very attentive. And the vibe was a cross between cool and rustic, not the least bit stuffy, very welcoming. I will most certainly make another stop here when in the area again."

"Good prices, freshly made sandwiches. My group got the Reuben, Chicken Caesar Wrap, and the Italian. The dressing in the Italian was too spicy for most of us. The Chicken Caesar Wrap was also different with black olives, tomatoes, and feta cheese. Meat was generous in all the sandwiches. Would definitely order here again. Short walk to National Mall where we picnicked. There were a few tables inside the restaurant but it was too warm and crowded to eat in."
