"I just went today with my sisters, it is my first visit and I was anticipating as I have heard about this place before. I ordered a tonkotsu ramen and when it came, it came as half a bowl!!! I took a picture after mixing the noodles (shown below) and no, this picture is exactly right after it came. See the small portion?So I asked a staff how come there's so little noodles (vs. the ones from my sister which happens to be same priced, also $8.95). And the noodles are NOT cheap, they range from $7 - 15/each. My tonkotsu ramen has only 3 thin slice of meat btw and just a few strand of bean sprout with little soup. And the staff said, "oh the noodles are all the same, this is how it is. There can be no change." Honestly, I was never offered half a bowl of noodles in a restaurant before. Even if little noodle, at least pour in more soup! So I asked, "Ok....this doesn't look right at all, look, they only filled half my bowl. What about giving me more soup then?" And she talked back, and say no there's no extra soup. Extra soup has to be charged and no the noodles is reasonable and the same. Extra noodle broth has to be charged?? And when I compared my noodles and my sister's noodles (just noodles), mine is obviously lesser by at least a handful. Ok, this is it for my first and last visit to this place. As I finish my bowl of noodle, I feel like eating a bowl of soggy noodles with no soup. I barely had any soup to drink. And I have to get charged. Terrible customer service from the staff (girl who tied hair and no front fringe unlike the other girl). She was loud and talked back no matter what I asked. I just asked for soup and see no reason for such objection. I don't think the soup cost more than losing a customer. Never again!"

"Flavorful broth with all the goodness, noodles were cooked perfectly not too soft. Service staffs were friendly too. As our hotel is nearby, we ate here on 2 occasions. Will definately visit again when we are back to Toronto."

"Apparently Japan is not all sushi. Apparently Japan is a complex country with ethnic diversity, and cuisines that change based on local ingredients. Apparently Japanese food can be the result of histories. For instance, British traders brought curry to Japan in the 19th century and Japan has developed its own take on curry over the years. Who knew? This place specializes in that sub-cuisine. Worth a try.And the food is totally different from what you thought you knew about Japanese food. No bright colours. This is is heavy food more akin to central Europe than Asia. My dish was basically a pork schnitzel on a bed or rice with a thick curry gravy.It was worth a try, but ultimately not something I'll be rushing back for more."

"For my bowl of ramen, I ordered the Spicy Chicken Ramen. It was a bowl of thin ramen noodles with chicken broth, chicken chashu, spinach, spicy bean sprouts, tokyo negi, and green onion. Usually I order the pork version of ramen at ramen bars, but this Spicy Chicken Ramen definitely spoke out to me. You can choose either the spice level of Mild, Spicy, or Hot. I chose the Mild one even though looking back, it would have been nice to try their Spicy level."

"口コミを参考に行って来ました。韓国人のコック サーバーで日本語は通じません。カツ丼を頼みましたが、ごはんの上に細かく刻んだ野菜サラダが載っていて、揚げたてのトンカツが載っているだけの食べ物でした。少し玉ねぎを醤油出汁で煮たスープがかかっていました。卵でとじるわけでもなく、肉も硬くて、とても高評価の店とは思えません。普通のとんかつにすれば良かったかもしれません。"

"Second time I visited, but will be the last. The food generally is good, but the service was horrible. They forgot half of our order, and didn't even apologize, so we just wasted 45 min waiting politely for food that would never arrive. Mistakes happen, but at least say sorry or show that you care. Table next to us also was having trouble with their orders, so I assume this is common here."

"I did takeout twice at this place, I was recommended by a friend, saying that this place is authentic jap food. First of all, I really like the food even though it's a little bit pricy. But I HATE THE SERVICE. Yes, bad service even I only did takeout! I ordered salmon teriyaki and I asked for the price. The server chekced and still told me the wrong price. Fine. She didn't tell me on phone that there's extra charges for takeout. Fine. I got there and was ready to get my food. There were two servers standing at the counter. And then one server gave me the wrong bill. Whatever. She almost gave me the wrong change (she had to redo it). The servers really need to be trained, I got really angry about the service. This is one restaurant where there's good food but bad service."
