"Great place to take the family. Very slow before you get the food but when you do its really good. Try the fried red snapper with coconut sauce its amazing."

"The food was good but the staff took a while to get us the food, although it was totally empty. When it came to the cheque, the waiter tried to fool us. We had to pay 1590 DOP. We paid in USD. He said the rate is 1:46. and tried to convince us that we had to pay about 73 USD, although were just around 35 USD. What the f ?! after a while his supervisor came then he accepted my calculation of DOP USD, which was the correct one. It took them another 20 min to return the change. Then the cheque changed to 1870 DOP and of course the change was wrong, too low. another waitress tried to explain why. She pretended not speaking english at the beginning but later on she spoke english... when i tried to explain to her that the change is wrong, she pretended not to understand what i want... another 10 minutes of discussing. This all ruined our evening."

"This was my second trip to this resort. I would return again, but suggest upgrading to the Diamond club, which we did for both trips. The service is much better and the areas are quieter. Clean rooms, food is four star. Our first dining experience in the steakhouse was really good, second was not as pleasant, our waiter clearly had a larger section and was not able to give us the service we had received the second time. We witnessed the table beside us send back all 8 steaks they ordered, which I think set him back a bit so he was not able to focus on his other tables as much. When we asked other servers for things it was apparent they where annoyed to be helping a table that was not theirs. Sushi bar was wonderful our kids ate there almost every day. Sands beach bar's bartenders are fantastic! We loved hitting up this area around happy hour. Almost daily one of our kids napped here, the sounds of the waves and the breeze make it a perfect location for an afternoon nap, while Mum and Dad can enjoy a nice cold draft! Water park is clean and well ran, no long lineups for slides. The tubes can be a bit of an issue, there isn't really a system in place for how to line up if they run out. Some people would hand them over once they had used them, others would keep them and walk right by the people obviously waiting for one. Pools are clean and grounds are nicely taken care of. Beach area is clean, we never had a issue with vendors bothering us. Worth the upgrade to Diamond if you are a beach lover. Our family had our own private section each day where we never waited for service. Overall great experience!"

"If i could give these guys 6 stars, i would. This is one of the best hotels i have ever been to in terms of quality to price ratio. This is a family hotel, owned by Marco and his wife. The moment you step foot on their cozy property, they make you feel like family. The rooms are large. The distance to the beach is a 2 minute walk. If i am ever back in DR, I would make a point to stay here. Oh, and they also cook everything. Hey Marco, this is Felix."

"Leaving this glorious paradise today after 10 wonderful days. Thank you to all the staff for making this such a great vacation. Thank you to the entrainment staff for all the laughs and great shows. Thank you to all the servers at the bars and restaurants, you work very hard and we appreciate all the attention. Thank you to our maid who cleans villa 60, you always did a fantastic job in our room. A huge shout out to our butler Jhonny for everything you do, you truly went above and beyond anything we could have expected. This resort is everything we could have ever asked for and literally have zero complaints. We will be back for sure."

"Very fun trip. Activities all day long. The staff are very friendly and kind. The stuff who run the events are outgoing and entertaining. They made our experience 10x better. Food at buffet is good! Plenty of options. Restaurant is great, don't need reservations! Beach is clean and beautiful, there are some vendors who will try to sell you stuff, but they are kind and will leave you be once you politely tell them no thank you. Room was clean and accommodatible. Theater shows almost every night, no night club though. There's a snack bar by the pool that serves pizza and other snacks all day long. Some minor improvements and upgrades could be made, but overall the experience and time was terrific and I hated leaving and would go back today if I could."

"My favourite zoo in the world. The setting is as majestic as the animals. It only takes about 1.5 hours to view in full so you don’t get over-exposure fatigue. The education center adjacent to it about 1km is a beautiful spot to stay overnight (camp/cabins) and/or visit. Thanks to everyone involved in maintaining these places!"
