"This was a total find. We don't give 5 stars often. We walked up and down 17th and finally decided on this place after literally sitting down at another. Well worth it. We loved the drinks and the sandwiches. The deviled eggs were okay. Service was awesome. Definitely check this place out when on holiday."

"My husband and I saw the grill when we first arrived in Calgary but we did not eat here until our anniversary day. We liked the way the balcony looked so we walked up the stairs and loved the look of the main dining room. It was a glass ceiling which makes the restaurant feel as if you were outside because it was so bright even when we went at 8:21pm. We aren't used to such a bright sky that late at night so it was a wonderful surprise. There was a team serving us and one of the members is named Kade. The service was amazing and the food excellent. I had the filet and can honestly say that it was the best meat that I have ever tasted. My husband had the lamb shank and it was excellent. A great surprise was our dessert we received for our anniversary. Highly recommend this place. Will definitely revisit when we return to Calgary."

"This is a little Cafe that I discovered during YYC Hot Chocolate Fest. It 's Delicious. It has vegan and omnivore options and a little store boutique of other local sellers on shelves around for you to look at while they make your coffee.They have a really good local following too. Truly an amazing hidden gem."

"Excellent service and food. We went for a group dinner and they had an American Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner Special on for the evening complete with mashed potatoes, stuffing, roasted veggies and cranberry sauce. Pumpkin pie to round of the meal was great as well. It was absolutely delicious. Did not order anything off the regular menu, so no feedback on that. The owner was very friendly."

"We were seated when we walked in. Waited for 25 minutes without anyone coming by to take our drink or food order. Tried to flag someone down a couple times, hostess avoided eye contact. Brutal!"

"Happy to find a good breakfast/lunch place in DT Calgary. It is located in IBM building close to my office so I tried their lunch menu. Chicken Thai Sub sandwith, beef dip sandwitch were really good. My favorite is tuna melt sandwitch. Very generous portion of tuna topping baked on baguet bread.. mmmm.. <br/>They do have daily specials. Daily special butternut squash soup was pretty impresive for the price. All menu are priced pretty cheap but you'll find good quality freshly cooked food. Service was prompt and friedly."

"I had a breakfast burrito here for $16 that was tiny, so I had to order a tiny avocado toast to supplement it. Good food, but minuscule servings for the price. Funky deli dips, high end cheese, coffees to take out. Nice patio, albeit north...facing. Friendly staff. We found the dishes similarly priced at OEB, but OEB offered more variety, better food, much larger portions and therefore much better value. We'd think twice about returning to Daily Brett for that reason, despite its charms."

"I hadn't been to Karens cafe for a long time, so it was nice to return.Unfortunately even thought it was barely 12:30pm on a recent Thursday lunchtime, she had already sold out of the soup of the day.I had a tuna fish sandwich and coffee,both were very acceptable.The bread was very fresh and quite nice"
