"Very pricy at dinner .... lunch at Hato is extremely cheap in comparison to dinner. The quality of food is really good, dishes to be shared is recommended. "Went here for dinner with my business colleagues. The service was the biggest disappointment. After we arrived we did not get bread for a long time, drinks came late or were forgotten. We waited for 20 minutes after our mains for someone to come and take the plates away and another 10 minutes to have a desert menu. And the cherry on the top is they lost my umbrella. At the end of our dinner around 11 PM there were only 2 service staff in the restaurant. This is simply not acceptable for the fine dining experience this restaurant wants to offer. The food is ok-ish. The starter was interesting. The steak - they have a special grill with 800 degrees top heat that should make a better crust. Honestly I felt the buzz is not worth the result. You can obtain a better taste with a bit of practice on your home grill. On top the beef is wet-aged while it should be dry-aged. For the prices they ask I would at least expect dry-ageing. Needless to say that prices are expensive but this is what you can expect in Zurich"

"Meine Familie und ich waren vor ein paar Tagen im Restaurant Acqua. Wir wollten nur einen Kaffee trinken und etwas Kuchen essen und wir hatten unsere kleine 7 Monate alte Tochter dabei. Wir wollte gern an einem Fenster zum See sitzen. Das Restaurant war nicht einmal ein Drittel voll. Es waren mindestens 10 Tische am Fenster frei. Wir wurden beim Eintreten gefragt ob wir zu Mittag essen wollten. Ich erwiderte wir wollten nur Kaffee und Kuchen trinken. Daraufhin sagt uns der Kellner wir bekämen keinen Platz im Restaurant. Er verwies uns auf eine dunkle Ecke im Restaurant wo noch ein Paar Sofas standen. Ich wollte zu dem Zeitpunkt schon garn nicht mehr dort bleiben, aber wir waren zu viert dort und wieder woanders hin zu gehen hätte uns zu viel Zeit gekostet. Somit haben wir 45 Minuten hinten in der dunklen Ecke gesessen und ich habe mich dabei über die arrogante Bedienung geärgert. Während der ganzen Zeit waren immer mindesten zehn Fensterplätze frei und es wäre für meine kleine Tochter schön gewesen, wenn Sie auf den See hätte hinausschauen können. Ich kann nur vom Besuch dieses Restaurants abraten. Wenn manche nicht nach Hautfarbe, Nationalität oder etwas anderem diskriminieren können, finden Sie immer noch andere Kriterien."
