"Papa wanted a family dinner at the Parkhotel to 78. Birthday. He always feels very comfortable here. The house is wheelchair accessible, an important point for excursions with it as “roll chair pilots”. Especially the bistro, with a lot of dark wood, he likes. Bistro is also deeply stacked in the beautiful and harmonious furnishings. I reserved early on the phone, with the indication that I take the table decoration myself. Papa, former hunter, gave clear instructions (as always: "Sag the Parkhotel, they should make me a fist on the table". For only 7 people, I did not want to address this task to the Parkhotel, and I like it. So for me, just a little before. Two employees have set up our table with reinforced tablecloths and fabric napkins. This is not common in the bistro and I found it very attentive to the occasion so beautiful to cover. I quickly added the “Försterdeko”. Reinforced cotton, centrally own table decoration. Shortly afterwards we met with the family and the wheelchair taxi. A young employee, Mrs Lisa Mayer, warmly welcomed us. Throughout lunch she was responsible for us, with her we were lucky. Nice, well-trained and attentive she was full of things. The cards (Bistro and restaurant cards were handed over. Later the drinks were taken. Large bottle of mineral water, 0.75 l € 5,00 Kirner Pils from the barrel, 0.3 l € 2.50. Alcohol-free, 0.33 l € 2.50. Paulaner alcohol-free and dark, 0.5l € 3.80. Riesling dry, 0.2 l € 4.20. Like almost everywhere in Idar Oberstein, the regional speciality “Spießbratengerichte vom Offenholzgrill” is also offered here. The pork fillet (250 gr. with oven potato, acid cream and salad plate made €18.50 four times the race. In some cases, the kiln potatoes were exchanged in Pommes. My brother decided again for two filled lumps with foliage sauce 8.50 €. Also a regional speciality. My aunt and I chose from the restaurant menu the homemade ribbon noodles with leaf spinach, tomatoes and mozzarella € 15.00. In the bistro there is usually no kitchen breakfast. But also here we were surprised, probably due to the opportunity to ham with fresh bread, olive oil and thin cut parmas ham. The generous part bridged the waiting period very well. Premixed salads were served. A colourful, diverse dish. Leaf salads and raw food mixed, first-class dressing. The salad was very praised by everyone. We were also very satisfied with all the main courts. They were served hot on preheated plates. The pork fillet butterfly and fried at the point, in still a little pink, served cut. The spit roast dishes are served here simply a number smaller and finer than in the typical spit roast restaurants. For this, meat quality is significantly better, last class instead of mass. The pommes nice crispy, the oven potato cooked in the bowl with good aroma. My brother was very happy with his blows (photo from a previous visit to the Bistro main page again. Apples were also served. The band noodles perfectly al dente. A good part in the deep plate. Ribbon noodles with tomatoes and leaf spinach Among the freshly seasoned cocktail tomatoes there were also strips of dried tomatoes. That gave the court an extra good apron. With espresso and coffee we had the cozy lunch and were warmly approved by Mrs Mayer. On the first Christmas day we are back to our guest, we would be happy to meet them again. And perhaps the chef Mr. Manzi, because despite some visits to the park hotel, we could not get to know him so far. Restaurant and toilets are perfectly clean and well maintained."

"Since this year Idarer Kunsthaus Gerwert has opened the doors of its attractive garden for guests. The Kunsthaus is already worth its visit. Over several floors you can buy pictures and other beautiful things for home. And leave your own pictures on the right angle frame. The creativity of Angelika and Christian continues in the relaxing garden and in the surrounding winter garden. In Idar Oberstein there will be nothing comparable. The ambience is really great, there is a lot to discover. From traffic on the main road there is nothing to feel in the garden, which is just a few meters behind it. Lauschige seats, parasols and trees donate shade and the well scattered his song. A sign on the street shows all summer to the café. And this big summer, of course, was right to start this café. Yesterday we finally found the time for a visit. We missed the nice weather phase. Outside it was a bit too fresh, so we made it cozy in the winter garden. In the oven even a cozy little fire burned. The complex is modern rustic ingenious. A flower on the table and a small wind. From October April the café moved to the Kunsthaus. We were kindly greeted by the owner couple. The daily small dishes are on the tables in front of the kitchen. Actually, we just wanted to have a cup of coffee, my husband stayed there. But I was interested in the tuna on Ricotta/Kapern with Sardinian bread to € 9.00. Then a dry Rieslingschorle instead of coffee. Shortly afterwards it was placed in the conservatory. A large pot of strong coffee with a box of heated milk for my husband. The tuna calls in wake-glass, then the Ricotta-Capers-Creme. The thin Sardinian crispy pastries for diving also in wake glass. The well-cooled white wine choir. The tuna of very good quality has been tasted and seen! The cream tasted nicely with lemon. I'm not a real Caper fan, but that was a perfect combination. And a leak is different. For the price it should have been a bit more bread! The ambitious prices are not only for Idar Oberstein at the highest level. The homemade cake should be worth any sin... also € 5,00 for a piece of French apple cake or lemon cake. The pieces must be big! Or the customer should be sieved. It's up to everyone. Nevertheless, art and enjoyment fit together here! You should be able to do this delay."

"Brittas Pancake House is certainly in Idar Oberstein for 10 years in a very beautiful house in Idar district on the pedestrian zone. A few years ago we started a visit to Idar Pancake Paradise. After spending a long time unnoticed at the table, we looked for the breadth. At the end of the year we were on the way to Idar in the late evening, a lunch break was not planned. But welcome! 2nd chance for the pancake house. We were kindly welcomed, our vaccination status was checked, then we were allowed to choose a free table. Three tables were already occupied. The advantage of the corner house: there are almost only windows. Of course we set ourselves on the window. The laminated menu was served. The offer includes breakfast, hearty and sweet pancakes, soups, salads and spaghetti. We had a quick choice. A lady, whether owner or employee I can't say, accepted our wishes. Our drinks: 1 alcohol-free Kirner Pils, 0.33 l € 2,70 and 1 alcohol-free Kirner Wheat, 0.5 l € 3,90. My husband chose: roasts with salmon, salad and fine cream horseradish sauce € 14.50 I chose: salad by type of house mixed salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, carrots, fried chicken strips (exchanged in tuna), sunflower seeds € 10.90. The restaurant is well maintained and comfortably furnished. The huge windows on 2 sides leave a lot of light inside. We were quickly supplied with our drinks. It took a while with the courts. Then the cook itself served the dishes. Both plates were nicely dressed, the portions were not small. My husband was happy with his choice. However, the fry should have stayed a little longer in the pan. Rösti with salmon, salad and fine cream horse Only on the outside was a little chess, inside soft and therefore also quite fat. And unfortunately, the roasted vinegar was not produced itself. The fresh salad set comes with tomatoes and egg yolk. My salad was a main dish very worthy and with lots of tuna. Fresh green and red oak leaf salad, coarse cucumber slices and tomato quarters, carrot rasp and a delicious dressing. The air was on the bread supplement. Toast, good. We were really happy about our spontaneous decision to eat lunch here. The calm and cosiness has been terminated. One of the two ladies in service took the ladder out. Then it started eliminating the Christmas decoration! Only where there were no guests, but then right next to the guests' tables. Folding ladder, up to the ladder to remove the Christmas decoration from the ceiling and window. A gentleman looked irritated by us, but at least ended the food. Of course, our table was not cut out. Right behind my husband the ladder was opened again and the decoration was removed via the entrance door. I didn't see any dust, but after a few weeks of Christmas, dust would have fallen. And I didn't want it on our plates. The provocative remark. “Do you let me know if we disturb you?” I didn't want to clog. That happened. The lady moved to a table and two young women sat here. What happened? Clear: folding ladder on etc. For a demand whether everything should be met with us or whether a drink is desired (my glass was empty), the time was missing. The last half of our food is halfway. Pay quickly and nix as away. During the opening hours and with the guests present to organize such a breeding action, is simply perfect. As far as anyone active in gastronomy can think. The service was okay until our food was served. Conclusion: Not so fast. Probably, but never again."

"Super beautiful ambience with very beautiful owner. The ice cream as well as coffee and cocoa were very tasty and absolutely not what you get in an ordinary café. They sit comfortably and it was very clean. I like to come back and definitely try breakfast."
