"We ate dinner at L’Aile having passed it during a cycle ride and been impressed by the positive reviews on the web. There is a fixed price menu which works out at 35 euros for three courses. My partner had smoked mussels followed by mixed...grill of fish whilst I had pannacotta of mozzarella followed by veal and chorizo kebabs. Everything was very well cooked and although it was hard to find fault with anything, it wasn’t quite the stellar gourmet experience some have alluded to. Perhaps we didn’t choose well. The wine list was long and very good value for money."

"The gollandiere we were for a very long time our restaurant on the island of Ré.We rediscovered it this year in a simpler version on the evening in week with a small but full sea/terre buffet: eightres langoustines crabes bigorneaux...... all very fresh and very good and various charcuterie and terrine of the terroir, a very correct main dish and dessert, served in a pleasant and quiet setting on the edge of euros. not found for the same performance on the island of re. I recommend."
