"With all the good reviews online, I was pretty excited to try this out. Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience. Service: Our night started out bad with their weird waiting system. They asked us to come back at 6pm and when we finally came back we had to wait 40 minutes until we were seated. One of their servers felt bad and said they’ll give us a free brownie on the house (which we never got either, I didn’t bother asking for it anymore too since everyone in our party just wanted to leave). Food: If you’ve never tried ramen before, maybe you’ll like this place. But otherwise, I would not recommend coming here to try their ramen. After trying their ramen, we were even talking about how we should have just eaten the nongshim ramen we had in our cabin for dinner instead. The only thing worth trying is their chicken karaage. If you’re forced to eat here, ask if you can have their chicken karaage rice bowl (it’s not on their menu but I think you can try asking for it anyway). They were out of stock of some of their menu items by 7pm when we were there so probably best to ask before being seated too. Overall, I think there are way more better restaurants in Tofino that you can try than this one."

"The menu offered some interesting options but I opted for bacon and eggs as I needed something simple. Nice smoked bacon, loads of fresh fruit and very nice homemade bread. My friend had the eggs Benedict - lots of ham and a brown butter hollandaise that she said was great. Nice water view. Good value."

"Stopped in for a nice dinner. What a great meal, the portions where huge, we were stuffed! We liked the atmosphere it was fun, the server we had a was great. We were too early for the band but we had a great time, great pub"

"We went to dinner back to sobo (we went two years ago. I called in advance to make a reservation and spoke to the owner/cook to see if teller could be modified for vegans. she said sure (they did the last time. the menu changes. we had this beautiful dish minus the yogurt make it vegan. it was divine! yam with charred wild rice, kale, kicherbsen and slightly spicy sauce. they even had a vegan cookie; . highly recommended."

"Lovely service, great atmosphere with lots of light and windows. Food was excellent. We enjoyed the halibut with butter chicken sauce and the Gnudi with yam and Brussels sprout sides. Everything was cooked perfectly, so fresh and satisfying."

"We love to get under the skin of a place and having read the reviews we had to give this a try on our fourth and final evening. We knew we were coming to a limited seafood menu. Marcie cleared the recently vacated table for two and we felt lucky to get in. She was full of excellent advice throughout. We had local beers and started with top class mussels and clams in white wine and shrimp and scallop. Each had just the right accompaniment. A ceviche of prawns and a half platter of smoked fish rounded off the evening. This is local and unpretentious but the welcome and the atmosphere, not forgetting the freshness of the fish were a real find at the end of a hot summer's day."
