"One of the best experiences in our trip. Surely the best cooking experience in Portugal. Bilal is a big cook and a very polite person. The food was fresh and delicious at a great price. I was surprised by the atmosphere here, maybe the special. The restaurant is neat and very well maintained, with a real soul. Definitely stop here and try some good food while you see the ocean from above. Magic."

"We were staying locally in Vale da Telha and wanted to try something new. We found this place on tripadvisor and decided to walk there. When we arrived we saw the sign but still wasn’t sure if we were in the right place because it...looked like someones house and two dogs ran down the driveway barking. However, we realised the restaurant was down the driveway tucked away to the left and it was someones house to the right of it. The dogs were very friendly and we played fetch with them (typical dog lovers! . After playing with the dogs we went inside And were the only ones there. We were greeted by a friendly waitress and were seated. We had no idea what to get on the menu and the waitress kindly recommended some bits. We went for the potato with meat and potato with veg starter (sorry I can’t remember the name of it . We ordered one each but she said that they are big and if we are getting mains as well then we could share the starters between us. The starter was LOVELY. For our mains we had the refried leftover beans/rice dish and it was nice but we found it a little salty, but then again I never add salt to my food so it’s hard to tell! The portions are really big but we still managed to fit in dessert of home made choc brownie and ice cream! Yum! We found that they only accept cash as payment and we explained we only had 70 euros but asked where a local atm was so that we could get more. The waitress said it’s no problem and that we could bring the rest of the money in the next day! We thought that was really nice of her but we did end up walking to the local cashpoint and getting more out just for ease. Overall it was a good first experience trying this food. Oh and try the green wine! It’s lovely :"

"We were glad that we came back to this restaurant for dinner after they first stopped serving after 3:00. We had a big skewer of monks and shrimps and a grilled chicken, both came with salad and potatoes or rice. We were hungry, but we had a hard time to finish everything. The drinks were very cheap and the traditional dessert ( almond pudding, cake, coffee infusion with whipped cream) was delicious. The chocolate cake was very fresh. Thank you for a delicious meal."
