"We were in Porto for the day on a cruise. We had walked through the old town and down to the Douro riverfront. Having done the obligatory boat trip (very good by the way) we crossed the Luis 1 Bridge and were walking along past the various port houses which all look lovely. We walked up this small side street near the Sandemans port house and happened upon A Copo. What a find! A local wine bar associated with the Niepoort port house, it is wonderful. Very small (four tables inside, three table outside), and ludicrously good value. We had two main couses, four glasses of excellent wine, and four soft drinks, for the ridiculous price of only 19 euros. Positively one of the best finds of our whole holiday. The service was lovely and very attentive. We absolutely loved it. I think we were super lucky to just walk in and get a table, as it is very small, but we were very very impressed and rated it as one of the best finds of our holiday. If in Porto you should go here. Do it!"

"Dinner for four with a great view over the river to Ribeira lit in the night. Efficient if not too friendly staff, reasonable prices and a decent wine list, but the real highlight for me was the tripas trip with white beans... and chourico cooked. I appreciate that this is not every taste, but it was one of the best things I ate the whole trip. The menu is long and varied enough to accommodate most taste, although my wife reported that the lasagna was 'unusual'."

"Hmm...not our most successful dining experience. Don’t get me wrong... it wasn’t at all bad but neither was it memorable in a good way). We opted for ceviche of sea bass and black pudding samosas to start followed by rib-eye steak and a pork...dish. It was all fine but no more. We’ve eaten far tastier and more satisfying similar dishes at other eateries at a lower price point. Unfortunately the same can be said for the service which was very professional but maybe could have been more personable. Overall we came away thinking it was all a bit overhyped and didn’t quite deliver."

"We have eaten in this reatsurant twice for dinner. In both cases the proposed fish (sardinhas and bacalhau) was of very good quality less the meat that, anway, I have found too cooked in all reastaurants visitied in Portugal. The staff is professional and capable to help in choices of plates and wines. If temperatures allow, I suggest to eat outside during sunset and finish the dinner tasting a good cup of old Porto with their chocolate cake. Amazing! The prices are very good. Another reason for the choice."

"This time without fireworks like before. Pasta was overcooked without taste, even I order those with truffles. I also ordered margarita with garlic, but I got it without it. The wine proposed by the staff was good. Even like the place, but in preview years was... much better."
