"Amazing food, lovely staff. Had to sit inside due to the weather, it was sooooo windy. Kid meal was an excellent sized portion and reasonable price. "We actually came here on Thursday evening at 6pm for dinner, but were turned away because the kitchen didn’t open for food until about 8.30pm. It would be helpful if they made this clear in their advertised hours outside and online, because the hours say they are open all day and don’t mention anything about the kitchen being closed at certain times. We came back here for lunch on Saturday at about 2pm and were told by the same waitress that turned us away on Thursday that we could only have a tiny bar style table with bar stools instead of a proper table, despite the fact that there were proper tables available. We were about to walk out finding this totally unacceptable when our usual, much nicer and more professional waiter came along and ignoring his colleague lead us to a proper table. I don’t understand why a restaurant would employ staff that are surly and rude to customers. We both had similar starters that were Mexican influenced, mine with crispy dry shrimps, guacamole and taco and his with crispy dry shrimps, guacamole and tortilla chips. Both were full of flavour but needed more guacamole which they were happy to give us. For main course I had a huge salad consisting of marinated blue fin tuna cubed, onion, salad, maize crumb, and pickled peppers which was delicious with well balanced flavours and textures. My partner had crushed potatoes with ibérico pork tenderloin, a huge portion of meat on rosemary infused potatoes. Despite being busy we had impeccable service from our waiter, who even recommended a very good bottle of inexpensive white wine to us. We love this restaurant, where else can you can have an amazing meal with good wine for 50 euros?!"

"Another great lunch here, sadly they didn’t have any white prawns so we had their crispy prawn tubes with paprika sauce instead which are one of their best dishes (canutitos de langostinos), Russian salad made with tuna, we also had scrambled egg with baby broad beans (revuelto habitas) which was rich and delicious. Where we came unstuck was with their croquettes, 2 of us being non-meat eaters we went for the garlic mushroom ones only to find flaky meat inside. We called the waiter over to verify this was the case and he seemed to know nothing about them containing any meat, so it seems that the kitchen sometimes just rather generously adds other things to them, and despite using my best Spanish it’s hard to explain to them that lovely and generous though that is, you can’t just do that without letting people know, and that now 2 of us couldn’t eat them because of it. I do think it’s a cultural thing in this part of Spain, they have no concept of vegetarianism. Lovely dessert too, slightly too cooked chocolate fondant with intensely flavoured mandarin sorbet."
