"We went last night and had a family meal, there were 10 of us and we all enjoyed our meals, my steak was gorgeous, it was a really nice night, we have been several times but the one thing you have to watch is your bill, they always try to scam you adding puddings on full price when you are having the 3 course meal or drinks you haven't had,"

"Eating was just ok starter board was nice, but the rest was nothing special and pudding especially bad. this should be a party night with live entertainment, but the intention was disabled and no thoughts given to positioning. the personal was not masked, which was very disappointing as it is also a covided vaccine center."

"During a recent visit to Barnsley we came across the Lemon Tree restaurant/pub. From the outside looking a little dated and traditional on the inside. We were warmly welcomed and quickly shown to a table. The menu was varied with several gluten free options which...I appreciate. We were delighted at the dishes we chose, nicely presented, cooked to perfection and deliciously tasted. We can fully recommend."

"Came here for the Caribbean night. It was PACKED! We managed to find some seats and enjoy the cosy atmosphere. The rum punch was beautiful! It's good to see local pubs doing themed days, definitely makes it more interesting!"

"Disappointed in Sunday lunch. Been here many times and this time wasn't great. Had turkey Sunday lunch. Tasteless veg. In fact the whole meal was bland. £14.50 per meal isn't cheap. Lumpy hard mash, frozen veg? We love this place but am sad to say we won't have Sunday lunch anymore"

"We booked a table for food on Christmas Eve months in advance for a birthday celebration. After booking one of our party had to have a serious operation leading to them being on crutches and unable to weight bear on one leg. I called to ask if we could sit on a downstairs table as they were unable to get upstairs, my number was taken and I was promised a call back. After a week of no response I emailed to ask the same question, again no response so after 4 days so I called again. This time I did receive a call back to say we could not sit downstairs to eat as these were walk in eating tables only, I explained the physical disability and was told we could not be accommodated. I did ask what happens when physically disabled people want to book a table and was told “we don’t really get disabled people here”. I feel this is a disgraceful response and am shocked the talbot management could not make a reasonable adjustment to accommodate a disability, and are also not putting a system in place not to discriminate the physically disabled people who want to book a table."
