"What a sound! derek found this place on the phone and I'm so glad he did. I had one of the best lasagnes I've ever had, from the nicest, friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us. derek had fish and chips, the fish was huge, with REAL chips! he couldn't finish it and that says something. we sat in their beautiful conned beer garden, surrounded by flowers, under a sunshade that was welcome today. I really recommend this place!"

Been going for a few years and always had a frosty encounter by a certain female member of staff while booking or at the restaurant,I’m sure they all know which one . But the attitude while making a booking today was enough to make anyone hang up the phone .im sure no one else likes to be made to feel stupid while making a booking at a restaurant. Disgusting attitude."

"I ate here with friends and there was really something for everyone on the menu. a worker was really helpful to find the gluten-free dishes for one of us. I had a huge part of honey with many fresh veggies. also the lateral part of the clobig chips was very generous. we were all too full of pudding. all staff were friendly and welcoming."

"Happened to find this place by doing a Facebook search for afternoon tea in Monmouthshire. I booked an afternoon tea for 4 and asked for an ammendment and it was no problem at all. We were very impressed with the amount and quality of the food. 5 varieties of sandwhich, homemade quiche, sausage rolls all with generous garnish. This was followed by scones with jam and cream, cream and fruit topped meringue, sherry trifle, victoria sponge, fruit cake and coffee and walnut cake. plus endless pots of tea. There was so much we were unable to finish, so it was boxed up to take home. Although it was very busy, the staff were calm and very friendly. Definitely worth the visit. Thank you."

"My partner myself and my dog visited this lovely cafe. We sat in one of the booths outside. It was a very good experience for us. We both have food intolerances.Our needs were met without complaint. In fact we were asked specific questions without even having to negotiate from the start. It was a breath of fresh air from previous experiences in other establishments. I agree picky people can be a pain. But when you are unable to eat certain things. It can get complicated. I highly recommend a visit here."
