"What an absolute hidden gem this pub is. You would not know the pub was there unless you took a stroll through the village or heard of it through word of mouth. You instantly get the cosy country pub feeling when you walk in. Very friendly atmosphere and have returned a few times since our first visit. Food is exceptional! A real hearty home cooked meal which left us wanting more. You can tell a lot of thought, care, and planning goes into the meals and the specials on offer. We could not compliment the chef enough for a Tuesday meal! We were served by the bar manager, Jordan. A very friendly and welcoming person that instantly made us feel like we were a local. We were made to feel so welcome we can't wait to return again for such a well cooked meal provided by such a welcoming staff member."

"The staff were very attentive and the service overall was brilliant. The food came out hot and those having the roast had a lot of vegetables to help themselves to. The only reason I’ve not rated as excellent is that one of our preordered meals had been left off the list so came out later than the others. However, the staff were very apologetic and the meal came quite quickly. Will definitely go back there."

"A 'Luxury cream tea '? Just because it was a cherry scone? Tea was weak (budget tea bags) when we asked for another tea bag we were charged an extra 60p each! I rang Vicky (the manageress) who told me that she has to charge for any extras and thanked me 'for my feedback '! At £5.75 for this not so luxurious cream tea, I think it was very disappointing. I 've had coffees there on many an occasion and they were fine. However, the tea was definitely budget and weak. I suggested that when they offer a choice of scones, they should inform you of the price variation too. I definitely won 't be having a cream tea there again. Otter nurseries do a much nicer tea."
