"We took a day trip to castlemaine to visit the mill and we had lunch here. we sat in the protected courtyard and checked the menu that was somewhat different from what id seen on the line, but I was advised all (10 pizzas 15 each) could be veganized. there was actually also a stock plate and snack menu that was largely vegan but not available on Sunday (the day we were) for three of us I ordered a funghi with cheese modified vegan mozzarella; an el gordo (napoli, rakete, capsicum, wobble, olive, garlic) minus the pumpkin, with vegan cheese; and a zucca (napoli, petersilie, pepitas, pesto) minus the pumpkin. the vegan cheese that cost an additional $3 was obviously a liquid sauce instead of a melted solid, but it was delicious, and went especially well with the mushrooms. pizzas were tasty and reasonable, and the person also announced that they were vegan while they were served to them what I always appreciate. we've washed everything with an prise beer I was told that all sorts on tap are vegan."

"This is a cute little bakery at the back of the hotel. It probably used to be the drive through bottle shop, now it is touted as the drive through bakery (although there is not driveway service that we saw). Vegan options are clearly listed and there are a few, including savoury options. Coffees were really good we had both almond and soy milk (separately) in ours. The pineapple cake was amazing with hazelnuts, almonds, pineapple, and ginger moist and delicious the best cake I have had in a long time. We took pies home to have later and they were really good too, although expensive at $7.50 each. Crispy pastry and interesting filling. We noted a couple of tables outside and a few dogs visiting with their owners too. I would recommend stopping by, they're really friendly."

"Icecream social has great vegan options. they are drawn to the mill and do not run the whole caffe anymore from the window. they have several vegan ice cream flavor and the waffel cones are vegan. the choc minze I had to ask several times to confirm that it was vegan because it was so delicious! the lemon, lime and bitter taste was also really refreshing. they also have other vegan products such as donuts or cookies and frozen vegan meals such as lasagne, but these are all dependent on what is available and when it is sold out. ask each time what vegan causes they have at present."
