"This inexpensive shop in Kamakura, not far from the station, has such a great selection of foods made from tofu! Although it's located on Komachi Street, which is the busiest tourist shopping street in Kamakura, the majority of products it sells seem like items you'd find in a local neighborhood shop in Japan things you'd pick up to prepare dinner. For example they have a tofu with a tough consistency that can be breaded and fried to look like and taste like chicken. There's also plenty of snacks like donuts and sweets made from tofu. This was a surprising find, and although everything is probably not vegan, most of it is. If you're in Kamakura, this is definitely worth a visit."

"We stumbled on this place by accident and it was a great surprise! The soy meat pasta is particularly delicious (highly recommended! , but the curry was great too. We also got a steamed bun with bamboo and mushrooms inside, which was a great snack. The interior of the restaurant is really clean and modern, and has a great view of the sea. Well worth a visit!"

"I have been participating in (vegan) wagashi and vegan shojin Ryori dresses for several years. the school was hosted at several locations in kamakura, but I love that the classes are always small, there are plenty of hand-on time and the pictures (including mari fujii, renowned expert for shojin ryori) are all excellent! Themes of the classes include rammen and gyoza, oyaki, holiday menus and fixed menus. the students are a beautiful mix of Japanese and international, and (older) children are also welcome. it is so great to learn here in kamakura shojin ryori where many important Zen temples are to be found, and I am always looking forward to my classes! the instructors will also recommend buying products in the Japanese super market or equivalents in their home country. when they will be in kamakura, they try to take a class in the atelier cafe kamakura!"

"Since Ofuna doesn't have many vegan options, we really need fast food chains. Luckily there is a branch of Soup Stock Tokyo in the JR station behind the ticket gate. They spin their soup and curry options throughout the year. My favorites are the Leek and White Kidney Bean Minestrone, Yellow Peas Soup, and Spicy Keema Curry with Bamboo Shoot and Soymeat. You have rice or a stone oven baked bread rooted) choice. You keep a binder behind the counter with the content lists in English and Japanese and you can ask to see it. They use real ingredients so that it tastes like cooking at home. The food comes super fast. You can check the options on their Allergen chart on their website."

"The staff was friendly and helpful and both spoke English. we asked that the green curry be made vegan and said that this was possible. As it was made by kratzern, there was a little waiting (about 25 minutes), but they were also very busy in the night. the green curry was soouo good! for two portions we paid less than 2,000 yen. we did it, but there is a beautiful view of the windows when they want to eat there."

"The vegan coconut strawberry cake I had was very delicious. Unfortunately there was only a vegan cake. There are also some other vegan cookie options. The staff was very friendly and nice to speak. "Had an amazing meal here. They have three restaurants near each other, so make sure you're at the veg one. They have an explanation sheet in English. Everything's veg (no fish stock)! It's not cheap $45 per person), but it's totally worth it everything was fresh and delicious."

"If you want to enjoy a meal of fresh, lively vegetables in one of the most picturesque japans, this is the place for them. I have nothing bad to say about cotonoha. the salads were fresh and crispy, the curry had delicious deep of taste, soy meat was a part of the justiz I had ever, and I will dream about the cream that came with the chocolate banana cake. I cannot recommend this place enough!"
