"Spent my 80th Birthday celebrations in Stur of the Moment, and the staff and especially Frankie made our celebrations really memorable. I can without question highly recommend it for breakfast lunch or dinner. Go there, you won’t regret it."

"I had my wedding reception here on 27th may , if I could give a 10 rating I would . Heather, Barry and all their staff are amazing , the attention to detail was amazing taking all the pressure off us , The food was great , 5 star bar service keeping are guests from going thirsty . As a bride and groom we can not thank them enough for helping make our day so special"

"This is what I would say is a must for going into a pub and going back in time for a while. Beer ok haven’t yet tried the food, but the menu seems good. Lots of snug places to sit as well as outside spots....It’s good it was saved from developers and is back to a drinking place."

"Small double room you cannot swing a cat in. If you are chlostrophobic this room is not for you. Stains on carpet being hidden by a mat. Cobwebs on ceiling. Fan in en-suite had to be turned off as it flaps loud through the night. Some aircon unit outside the window on the roof makes a noise all night so window has to be shut. But be careful watch the fish hooks on the curtains. Fish hooks being used to hold curtains up so dangerous and razor sharp. Breakfast was the only positive unfortunately. Accommodating to choices. Shame that doesn’t match the accommodation as it’s the perfect location for visiting Dorset. Felt we were forgotten about too as asked for a bath at booking which they said they would do their best to accommodate however when asked at check in it was a clear no, there were no rooms available due to a function and it would be a payable upgrade anyway. Wouldn’t stay here again unfortunately. Avoid room 4, recommend being renovated asap"

"A rustic old world pub, very clean, great staff and fabulous breakfast. A little worn in places but definitely didn’t impact my stay, great selection of drinks at the bar and although didn’t dine other than breakfast the menu was good and reasonably priced."

"On a cold Winter’s afternoon, one needs a hot brew and a warm welcome. Whilst other establishments had closed their doors at 4, it was therefore a welcome sight to spy the steam rising from behind the counter at the Forum Café and a 5 pm curfew. Bright if a preponderance of a slightly garish green decor friendly and welcoming with a good selection of homemade cakes and savouries (even at ten pst four on a Friday) and a bewildering array of teas, coffees and other beverages, The Forum is a gem of a café in what is a sadly dog eared and slightly run down looking town. The carrot cake and lemon drizzle cake were both excellent. The loose leaf breakfast tea strong and hot. Highly recommended."

"Serving a large group is always challenging but they seemed up to the task: crisp popadoms a great selection of starters and a perfectly hot curry with the usual rices and vegetables all served with a smile. As always we ordered too much but more than happy to let us take away the balance of the food. So a great place to visit"

"Stopped by for lunch after a bit of shopping with the wife. Jacket potatoes with various fillings and tea. Delivered tot eh table after a short wait, nicely cooked and for what it was enjoyable. So food and drinks good. My only issue, please ask the staff to be more welcoming, be happy and smile, being happy makes us all happy, service with a smile goes a long way."
