"Great service and the food was very good. We liked the curry noodles with stewed chicken weekly special. The papaya salad had a lot of HEAT even though we ordered mild. They politely explained that they use Thailand variety of the birds eye chilli which is very hot! The restaurant is nicely decorated with a clever corner stacked full of food stuff to buy. It got very noisy during the meal as more customers arrived so it would be good if they put in some soft furnishings."

"I have reviewed this restaurant twice before, and the only reason why I am not doing another lengthy praise, but this time I have to highlight that we had a takeaway and the food was as good as it was sitting in their restaurant. This...is by far and away the best curry in Southend, serving food with Kerala influence, and had to put another review and acknowledge you can get a takeaway from them. Lamb and potato curry, grandmas chicken curry, fish in banana leaf, curried ladies fingers, steamed coconut spinach and the incredible Paratha. I can’t stop eating theses dishes. Stunning food. Absolutely stunning as always."

"Absolutely love it here. Been several times. Cakes are great . Milkshakes and coffees are great. I love the vegan cheese pesto and tomato panini the most. Their homemade coleslaw is lovely too. Lovely outdoor seating area at the back."

"Visited Friday evening for the crepe and cocktail promotion as a group of three. We've all (and our kids who have been to several events there) been regular customers of lemon witch, but this was our first visit to the new location. The service was...very slow as it was the bar staff who were having to leave the bar to wait tables whilst trying to serve drinks. The staff were very friendly so no discredit to them at all, they just need more staff. The cocktails weren't great and one had to be sent back three times for various reasons (flat pepsi etc). They also had no mint which is in several cocktails, so they couldn't be made. The pancakes were fine but they used to be DELICIOUS. I had the Italian job which I've had consistently since they opened and this was the only time it hasn't been as nice. All of the ingredients were very anaemic. My friend also had the goats cheese one and it was very empty and also dry which is unusual. We really love lemon witch but it isn't the same as it used to be. We'll definitely come back and try again, and hope it's better next time"
