"Ordered Pork Katsu Curry Donburi, Chicken Teriyaki Donburi, and the Karage Side. The Curry was ON POINT! Perfect taste and consistency, similar to that of old school Lemon Life (If any remembers that place! . The Karage was also very good, being tender and the side sauce elevating the flavor of the chicken; although the sauce does have a slight kick. The Chicken Teriyaki was where the whole meal took a halt. The Chicken was a little chewy, but worst there was not much teriyaki. No sauce, as it seem the chicken was marinated. However, the vegatables it came with were fresh, and if you get an additional side of curry, is something special to behold!"

"Some very good, genuine ramen here. I also was a fan of their buns, green beans, and japanese soda. The spicy tonkotsu was good but not very spicy, so good thing they provide extra spice on the side at tables. The ramen was great but doesn't stand above a couple of my other favorite Manhattan ramen spots: Tonchin and Ivan. However there is a wide variety of ramen offered here that I don't see at many other places which is nice. Also I love the atmosphere here! I'll be back to try their different ramen variations for sure."

"We came for sushi night on Thursday. I lived in Asia for years and have visited Japan many times and so I do like to think I know what good sushi tastes like and sadly the sushi at Nana's was really bad. It just tasted of nothing, the fish was frozen and had been defrosted quickly in the microwave so it was warm and the texture was sort of chewy and foamy which was awful. I know its normal for sushi fish to be shipped frozen I think often because the fish is raw it has to be frozen first before it is eaten) and defrosted but this wasn't done properly at all and it was as if the raw fish had started to cook in the microwave. I had salmon and tuna rolls as well as nigiri and none of it was very edible. I didn't raise an issue in the restaurant as we couldn't see the owner or any manager to speak to and didn't really feel it was worth it, I know it's a small independent restaurant which I really wanted to support but the quality was so disappointing. The waitress also didn't seem knowledgable at all and couldn't really talk us through the menu and we did ask whether there was the option of searing the salmon or tuna nigiri but I don't think she understood what we were asking. It was also not cheap at all, which again is quite standard for sushi but when it is this poor quality, it felt like such a rip off. Shame as the restaurant itself is really cute to sit in."
