"Nice selection of beer. My fish and chips were lovely, the fish was large and batter crispy and the chips were delicious. Nice mushy peas as well, but could have done with some nice tartare sauce to go with it. The wife’s roast dinner seemed nice, though a bit mean with the amount of gravy offered (though she did get more when asked. My youngest kids meal was very good (chicken and chips) which she enjoyed and good value with ice cream for afters. The only real disappointment was my eldests meal. Being vegetarian the choice was a bit limited but she liked the crispy vegetable pancakes. It turned up as one large pancake which resembled something like a slightly burnt omelette and not what we were expecting and looked poor especially for nearly £16 it looked quite unappealing. She didn’t complain but if I’d been served it I would have sent it back. The only negative in a generally good experience. Dog friendly which is a bonus. The pudding were nice, but again a bit mean with the custard!"

"I’ve been coming here for decades, it’s still a great curry and very original. Four of us called after a few pints at The Fighting Cock, the service was very quick. Though it’s a shame they don’t use lamb anymore just beef for the Rick Stein spinach and lamb originally. The chappati’s were light and perfect. I do miss the waiter from 30 years ago who could take a big order and remember everything, he was a character and a half. Still a classic curry house, and £45 for 4 people with two popadoms each is great value."

"Omg why did I not read these reviewed before. They are the worst food place I have ever dealt with. They are so rude!!! Ordered a corn flake tart and got a sponge cake with a don of ice cream on it. See pics. The banoffee cookie dough was like splatted dog waste!! When we called to ask them about the order we got told “you are lucky you got food”.i had to stop my husband with all I have not to go down! Never ever again!!!! I’m surprised they still open and not been shut down. Clearly food hub needs to stop associating with cowboy organisations!! They robbing people"
