"Very tasty food. Had read reviews that this was a buffet style restaurant but it wasn’t when we went all food was from the menu. The portions are HUGE so we probably ordered too much food. When we return for another long weekend break will definitely be returning."

"Lovely hot chocolate to take on our boxing day mooch around town. Friendly staff and really good prices. Would have had something to eat as it was all looking delicious but still full from Christmas day dinner! Will definitely have something next time though."

"The Griffin is the best Carvery ever. The meat is so fresh, it’s cooked so well. The pork the beef are just amazing. Great value too. Been once this year and three times last and it never disappoints."

"From the other reviews it sounds as if the delivery might be a little unreliable, but we collected so no issues and the food was excellent great flavours and really tender chicken. Highlight was a really good homemade lime and mango pickle so...good we're taking some back home with us!"

"Gone away for a week so decided for a take out. Biggest mistake. Not only a hour late for delivery but had the cheek to ring me and ask for a delivery charge being mins for delivery. When it arrived it was like...water and so spicy you couldn’t eat it not a chicken tikka at all."

"This is the only dine in Chinese place we could find. Being Chinese I'm fussy when it comes to Chinese restaurants, but I can gladly say I loved everything we ordered, scallops were fresh, and flavours of all dishes were authentic. Staff were polite and friendly. Come here if you are Chinese. Also come here if you are not Chinese!"

"This is the third chippy we’ve tried, always on the lookout whilst on holiday in Porthtowan. It’s a little expensive but the best fish and chips I’ve had in the area so worth the money. Handmade cod fish cake was the best my partner had...ever eaten. Chips were fresh and the battered fish was delicious. Glad to see good routine in place during Covid, you order at the door, are given a beeper and you wait in their car park next door until your order is ready. I watched the lady clean the beeper before giving it to me ... I was impressed and the shop in general looked very clean and well run with friendly staff. There was also a queue when I arrived around which I thought was a good sign. This place is great and if you’re looking for a decent chippy and don’t mind paying a couple of quid more then look no further, this place is the real deal."
