"Visited Morcega Petiscaria for a drink when we visited Evora. It’s located in a very cosy street full of small bar/restaurants. We enjoyed a beer a soda in the street. Service was attentive. Can’t speak for the food, but the menu looks promising! Would definately visit for dinner as well, place got a good vibe :"

"They serve raw meat! Do not eat here. We ordered 3 bifanas and 2 out of the 3 had pieces that weren’t cooked. When I told the waitress all she said was “it happens”. They didn’t apologise at all and were so rude especially the waitress. They should be closed down."

"There are not many options on their menu, I have chosen the cute soup and two next dishes. it was Friday night, it was pretty crowded and we waited almost 1 hour to get three nice soup. it was good, but what took so long?! also the beside dishes (roasted kartoffels and wild mushrooms) were good, especially the mushrooms, but again a lot of waiting time to get them. the carrots had a soak that I tasted a bit like meat at the end of my meal. the personal could not tell me if it was vegan or not."

"When they come first, the chef explains all the dishes on the menu. He is completely aware of what vegan means and directly show what is available. for the Irre-en-bouche they served us a cold suppe with watermelon and strawberry. then we had the gaspacho and the lens soup, it was good, but not the best. the best was definitiw the sautéed mushroom, it was soou good. then I had the beautified vegetables with vegan cheese, it was also good. they don't serve vegan dessert, but they had dredgery and coward, both were delicious! for the wee make they suggest without showing them a wee menu, it's a bit strange at first place, but the wee are very good."

"I am not usually enthusiastic about dining in the Hotel in which I am staying, but this was a very special occasion, and we were a short drive away from Evora central. The menu looked interesting and comprehensive. The setting was clean and modern with the signature cork panelled wall behind us. We were 4 and shared the Sabores de Alentejo, which was an elegantly presented starter of four tapas style dishes, warm and very fresh, and Peixinhos da Horta , Jaquinzinhos e camarao, which was a crisp tasty tempura style vegetable variety with 3 dipping sauces. For mains we shared 3, Cachaco de Porco Alentejo num risotto de cogumelos, (black pork neck with a mushroom risotto); the pato, (duck) perfectly cooked and tender; and the Malandrinho de tomato com polvinho, (tomato rice with boiled octopus and crispy black rice), which were all superbly presented and full of flavour. We had no room for the tempting desserts, as with a small hint at booking time the chef came up with a light delicious chocolate cake, complete with candle. It was a gourmet evening and thoroughly enjoyed by all, and the final bill was very reasonable for the quality of food and service. We will definitely have this restaurant marked for our next return to Evora."
