"We came here last Saturday for a coffee with our doggies, so wanted to sit outside which was empty; it was before 10 am cold but were greeted with an abrupt enquiry from the owner as to whether we were eating or just having...coffee. When we said coffee , we were told firmly that we had a 20 minute limit as we want to turn over the tables! Not very welcoming, especially as we possibly would have considered eating or even having a few coffees before this demand. Or even the potential of returning for a meal. However, not with that attitude, especially as the cost of the a coffee a tea was $11, at least $2 more than in Balmain, where we usually go. Thinking that this was the usual price for Glebe cafes, we checked at The Valhalla over the road, surprise, surprise, not only were they much cheaper so were all the cafes along the strip , they were friendly offered a table without a time caveat. I did mention to the rude man in Esca that his prices were steep his attitude appalling, only to receive his dismissive reply well don 't come back! We don 't intend to.... more importantly for him, we will tell everyone about our experience. In these fraught times, I can understand people wanting to recoup lost income, but rudeness price gouging is not the way to do it...in fact positive word of mouth Tripadvisor reviews are surely the way to achieve this....neither of which he would get from us!"

"Thai on Wok just goes from strength to strength. I've dined in on previous occasions, had their food delivered, and most recently ordered online to pick up. I've never been disappointed! It's always mouth-watering, always great value, and always prepared fresh and quick! There are...plenty of options for dietary requirements, and I've never had any problems with cross-contamination of their gluten-free options. Trust me, if you want Thai food in Glebe (or in Sydney, even Australia! , this is where you need to go."

"The only eatery around here that opens on Sunday. We like the down to earth decor and the simple menu. The food is also priced very reasonably. <br>

Ordered the perk chop, bbq beef and lemon grass beef and chili. All the dishes we ordered are prepared fresh. They take a while to prepare so please expect 15 minutes or so wait time. <br>

All the dishes are delicious. The pork chop can use more spice or marinated longer. To balance that strongly recommend you tried their satay chili sauce which is divine. The portions are quite generous.<br>

Bottom line : Great food. Great service. Great value.<br>"

"We went to this restaurant using a Groupon voucher on a Saturday night. We were seated in the front of the restaurant (it looked like there was an outdoor section too) next to the front windows which was a lovely part of the restaurant. The restaurant had a good atmosphere and the tapas, pizza and drinks we had was mostly nice. Drinks prices were okay, however the food menu prices were a bit on the expensive side if not using Groupon. Will probably return."

"This is the best sushi place in Sydney!! the staff are lovely, my boyfriend and I are regulars, we would never go anywhere else for Japanese food, the staff now know us by name and even give us soy and wasabi or small boxes of food for free sometimes! the cooked tuna brown rice handrolls are my favourite! the food is fantastic quality and very cheap, I highly recommend this place, definitely bypass the other rubbish takeaways and over priced jap places and go here instead, you Wont be disappointed!"
