"The staff were rude from the moment we arrived. We emailed for a reservation, didn’t receive a response so phoned and confirmed the table earlier in the day. They then had no record of it when we arrived that evening. We also stood there 5 minutes waiting for the hosts to even acknowledge us. The food is ok, but really overpriced for what it is, and when they bring you the bread and dips they use purchased packaged paste rather than freshly made on the premises which is weird for a fish restaurant, and it tasted disgusting. They’ll also plonk a €5 euro starter down and not tell you they’re charging for it. Wouldn’t go back."

"We ate here twice during a weeks stay in Alte. On both nights, the food was tasty and reasonably priced. The first time we ate, there was a few other people eating and the experience was a very pleasant one. The second time, it was a lot busier and the staff seemed completely overwhelmed. We arrived at 9.45 and was told the kitchen closed at 10pm and only certain dishes were available. There was no ice for the drinks, the couvert came out with no pate or carrots but we were charged the same price. There was only 2 options for dessert left. We felt like the staff just wanted us to finish up so they could get the tables laid for breakfast. A pity because our first experience was very positive."

"Avoid this place. This was my second visit to this restaurant and my last. Friday 1 o’clock lunch time. No one I the place and the girl wasn’t very happy to have clients. First no vegetarian meatballs, no tomato sauce and we don’t have any salads. Wow really? You have a market next door. If anyone cared you by what you needed from market for the service. We got our order pork meatballs with mushroom sauce. Meatballs were RAW. We’re told this is how it is. Really?? Sent back. Went straight in to microwave. Well came back. The food was inedible tasteless baby food. A dog wouldn’t eat it. No sorry or nothing from the waitress. To pay she didn’t have cash to give back money and ATM out of service. Not my fault I’m not boss was her snarky comment and we paid the full bill even we didn’t eat the food It’s really clear this place is not functioning as it should. I just hope I don’t get sick from this food."

"We had the most lovely experience this evening! The staff are so attentive and friendly! The food was absolutely incredible, would 100% recommend the monkfish gratin on of the nicest meals I’ve had! We are a family that love to have a little of “pick and mix” or “share of meals” and wouldn’t fault anything anybody got! Devine. Will definitely be back and recommend to friends and family! enjoy your visit!!"
