"I loved my meal. The jerk chicken was full of flavor , most importantly, not dry. Rice and sides were also delicious. Food took about 15min to be ready. Service was amazing as the women behind the counter were polite. I had a take out meal it was everything I needed."

"Was looking for a sushi spot in the Durham area that offered dine in and ended up here thanks to Yelp! It's a fairly small spot but the moment we walked in and started looking at the menu, the prices were too good to be true $14 all you can eat lunch and first pop free) we had to do a double take. We're not from the area so this was a little weird for us. Nonetheless, I think for the price, this is a great spot to satisfy your sushi cravings. They're also not stingy when it comes to ordering teriyaki dishes, portions are better than many other places I've been to for sushi to be honest. Also, many people were coming in to order their chicken teriyaki deal to go so may have to go back and check that out! Overall, this is a decent place for sushi!"

"A bunch of our Chartwell residents have been going here about once a month for several months now. We have enjoyed the food but have found that it is getting kind of expensive for we seniors to be able to afford. We may not be able to get a group together for future ventures. I have noticed that the water they serve, reminds me of swimming pool water, seems very chlorinated taste. Service is good for those items you need extra."

"When there for an early dinner at 4pm. The hostess said they're not seating anyone because they had a private party at 8pm. Ok in 4 hours, right? We asked if we could sit at the bar, that was a no. We were a couple, and there were 2 other couples at the front desk who were also turned away. Hungry and bummed we left.Thankfully the couple in front of us told us about another similar place called The Avenue on Bellamy Road. We all went there, greeted by our waiter who was new, seated right away and received a cold beer right away. The menu seemed small, but the dishes were full of flavour. Our friendly waiter recommended some fan favs and we ordered a table full of dishes. Everything was fresh and cooked well, tasted yummy, cold beer and a nice low key vibe. And oh, you must try The Avenue's BBQ duck. We ordered a half and it was way too much. But be careful of the pepper sauce, it's hot (and i like it hot). Will definitely go back there. Thanks to the couple that recommended this place. I think I'm just over the typical rude attitude and lack of service at Island Mix. After a while all IM dishes taste the same, you know what I mean."

"On this visit, I had the Chili Chicken, served with a spring roll and rice. It was a generous serving of chicken, and a decent sized spring roll, but I would have preferred a bit more rice to balance the meal. It tasted pretty good but with nearby Hakka restaurants serving similar dishes for a lower price, it's not such a great deal. I'll be back for my favourite dish here, Thai Spicy Noodles, with chicken or beef."

"Got the Tofu Curry (Tofu with long beans and sliced eggplant in spicy red curry sauce) and it was one of my favourite thai dishes ever. Portion was so big I had it over 3 days. Just made some extra rice at home. I'll definitely be back again!"
