"I phoned up to book as I wasn't sure if it would be busy or not even though it was just myself staying. It was simple enough but just a shame it's automated and then you have to text your name (how much simpler would it be to speak to a human) I was staying at the Premier Inn next door and got a phone call about minutes before my booking to say that there was a problem with their carvery deck and It might have to get turned off at some point so I went over early and got seated quickly and was told that they were managing to keep the deck on while it was being worked on, the host explained how it all worked as I had never been to a Toby before and took my order there and then and delivered my drink to my table. I went up and got my food served to me by a chatty chef It all looked very good but when I sat down everything was cold! I did eat my dinner and I have to be honestly it was still tasty. There was a group at the table across from me who complained. I did mention about the cold food when I paid my bill but it was understandable with the work going on to the carvery deck. Fortunately my pudding was warm!"

"This is our favourite stop for breakfast on our way to Aberdeen. I had the cooked breakfast and my wife had a sausage and egg roll. Everything we had was excellent and good quality local produce. Staff as always very friendly."

"My Mum, my son and I went for lunch at the bar after a nice swim at the pool there. Atmosphere in the bar was dire, the TV was on playing 'Capital ' radio while the waitress sang to herself and the furniture was dirty and shabby. The menu looked pretty good so we (unfortunately) decided to stay and give it a try. I ordered hot chicken sandwich, soup and chips to share. My Mum ordered soup and a hummus sandwich. My son had fish and chips. When the food arrived, the fish and chips looked pretty good; it looked like it was freshly fried and my son did enjoy that. The soup was ok, but unfortunately the rest of the food was just so grim. The bread rolls that came with the soup were microwaved (it was flat, rubbery and you couldn 't even break it open with your hands), the carrots in the hummus dish were so dry as if they were pre-cut a week ago. The salad to go with the chicken sandwich was off, limp and a weird dark colour. The chicken also seemed as if it was just heated up in the microwave and stuck in between two bits of bread. I could tell that it wasn 't a great pick for lunch as no one I know even speaks about eating there and it was totally dead at the height of lunch time. Definitely avoid this place! So many other nice places to go for food! It 's a shame because it 's such a nice building, but they just have it so so wrong on the food/restaurant front. They definitely have to up their game!"

"More stylish place with spacious and comfortable bar and adjacent restaurant with well spaced private tables. always a pleasure to see a simple menu. eating was timely and well presented. it was good, but the bisque in the cod special was somewhat bitter and overpowered, although the fish themselves and langustin were very good. very nice appetizers too. fairer value and well prepared cocktails and good total service."

"Although there are other good Italian restaurants in aberdeen, this is our favorite and the best of our opinion. recently renovated, the restaurant is now more modern looking, looks great and is very spacious and comfortable. moss and his partner are great youngs like chloe, they treat them as friend and not as customer. always welcoming, friendly and attentive. a very well managed business. the menu is diverse and they are spoiled for choice to exceptional trips, especially the two lunches at £7.95 quality food is brilliant, beautifully presented, served immediately and professional. simply combined by simply saying great eating with great service to great praises. best to book your table in advance to avoid disappointment, even if walks are welcomed equally."

"If you fancy dining out in a traditional 19th century country house atmosphere surrounded by magnificent period architecture and antiques, the Tapestry Restaurant at Norwood Hall Hotel will amaze you. Congratulations to Macdonald Hotels for not updating this period gem. It is unique in Aberdeen,...which is not renowned for preserving its heritage buildings! Service upon arrival was efficient and courteous. The Menu is not extensive but provides a good range of locally sourced produce. I ordered a chunky Beef Fillet which was very tasty with the accompanying jus and selection of vegetables. My wife enjoyed Sea Trout, nicely presented with a selection of vegetables. The Wine List is perhaps a little limited, especially in terms of their By The Glass' offering, but the range is certainly comprehensive and we had no problem making our selection. We finished our evening with coffee in The Georgian Bar, again with wonderful period features which will have you checking out the richly decorated walls and ceiling, rather than the other patrons! A lovely experience, and one we can strongly recommend. We'll be back for more!"
