"The starters were great bone marrow and Scallops . For mains, my wife had the 'Early Bird ' which was a good deal; 6oz rump steak, fries, a sauce/butter and a glass of wine or soft drink all for £20. However, my steak £34 just literally came on its own no salad, mushroom or tomato etc. . You have to buy everything additionally: Chips £6, butters/sauces £3.50/£4.50, mushrooms £5.50... The steak was ok/good, but not amazing. The chips are not chips, they are wedges; imagine taking a large potato and cutting it into quarters that 's their chips. I 'm not a fan of wedges, which isn 't the restaurants fault, but had they called them what they are, I wouldn 't have ordered them. I have no issue paying good money for good food when eating out, but my £34 steak quickly became a £50 meal with the additional items, and I didn 't feel it was worth anywhere near that. The staff were great and the service was good, so full marks on that."

"This restaurant was perfect for a lovely night out as a family. From the time we arrived until the time we left the staff were attentive, accommodating of our children, service was timely, food was lovely, and meal was as good as it gets. This is an excellent restaurant."

"Having a weekend break in Bristol and what a find this was. A great concept fine dining served in a casual chilled environment with great friendly service. I can’t eat certain foods. As.soon as mentioned it was taken seriously to extent that the chef marked on a menu every item I could safely eat as was , what I couldn’t, and which courses could be adapted for me. That was great service. My partner and both had roasts dinner. One lamb. One beef. The meats , plated with roast potatoes , sauce gravy and for the beef a Yorkshire pudding, were excellent as were the very generous portions of vegetables that were served alongside courgettes leeks carrots and cauliflower cheese). All veg was cooked as should be not over boiled etc. A slight criticism the sauce with the lamb was quite greasy glutenous. If came again I’d ask for it to be served separately and take less of it. For pudding we had a banana tart served thin and crispy with pistachio ice cream and a panacotta with rhubarb chunks. Both fabulous. At £25 for two courses it was exceptional value and wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend."

"Can't get Willy Wickets on the phone so my booking through Open Table, we were greeted upon arrival and shown on our table, which unfortunately had uncomfortable seats. We asked if we could sit on another table, which they fortunately agreed to. We shared a starter of mushrooms that were beautiful so that next time I will not share, we both chose the seafood linguine that was fantastic. To dessert. Personal top class service top class"

"Me and my girlfriend went to Filini in Bristol for the first time recently on a Friday evening. We opted for the courses for and I must say it was one of the nicest meals I have had in the Bristol area The service was second to none and the place itself is outstanding with gorgeous views over the centre and the river Would highly recommend this restaurant for a couple or group or business."
