"Rather small in size, this cafe is very popular for the quality of food and coffee it serves. I generally like my coffee places to be bigger, airy and have more space so that one can sit and read/chat undisturbed. Budan isn't that but it still is a nice place, with some outdoor seating and very friendly staff! Their carrot cake is a must-have."

"I went there after reading some reviews and getting to know that it appeared in one of the famed food shows but talk of ambience: Nil star; Food quality: 1 star; courtesy or hospitality: 1 star. The waiter doesn't even know what is being served and quality is as good as any roadside dhaba rather worse than them. Even food shows should take some responsibility of giving review based on some facts."

"We stayed at Mcloedganj Homestay and ordered dinner and breakfast from here which is part of the same homestay. The food is simply great and equally simply cooked. We had breakfast and dinner and we simply loved it. The sun kissed deck to have breakfast where one can enjoy the fluffy pan cake with honey is something to go by. In Dinner we had a dish of vegetables cooked in coconut based gravy which is definitely recommended."

"Its a vegetarian restaurant but they serve dishes with eggs. If you are okay with this then its a must try. Preparation is really good here and all in my family liked it. And the location is really amazing and gives an amazing panoramic view if you choose to sit in the terrace area."

"I stopped in here to get out of the rain, and because I had read great reviews about this place. It is a nice relaxing place to sit, use the wifi etc. but for I thought it was quite average for the price. I first ordered a tofu sandwich, but they were out of tofu. I then went for the Tibetan breakfast, which was fried vegetables, bread and tea. I expected a decent portion of vegetables but this was not the case and I left feeling hungry. It was pretty tasty, but I think they are too stingy on the portion sizes for the price. And my tea was just a tetley tea bag. There are other places in town far superior to this one."

"We did a cooking class here so this review is about that. We organised the class the day before and were able to choose 3 dishes from the menu we wanted to learn. The class itself was very rushed, we were with the chef for about 40 minutes in total so weren't very happy with that as the class was sold to us as 2 hours. It seemed like the chef didn't really want to be there, he didn't really explain much about what he was doing and asking questions seemed to bother him. But the food was really nice so that was the saving grace! We made yellow dal, veg Jalfrezi and chicken masala which was the highlight. It's hard to say whether we'd recommend this class. It was ok, fairly cheap but we've had better cooking class experiences in other parts of Asia."
