"We didn't pre book so it was nice to get a table on a Friday evening. We were induled a table for four so we could sit side by side to enjoy the bay view. The food: I had ribeye medium rare. Listen, it was absolutely delicious! I am so fussy with beef and how it is cooked so its always nice when a chef gets it to MY taste which is usually pink but with no blood! Most either under cook or over cook my beef! The vegetables where just well done. Not to soft not too hard just a little bit more than Aldenté. But it was still good. The sauce was nice and the chips was the usual chips. My partner had Dover Sole and he felt it was over cooked and rubbery- not soft and fluffy. This is why we knocked off 1 star. I had a taste and I would say it was a little bit over cooked but tasted really good. I think this is probably more of a personal preference thing. We tend to show our fish just enough heat to cook but we still like it fluffy. I would still recommend the fish and be happy to eat it. So don't be put off. We are just super fussy! The staff are adorable and friendly. The place is clean and well decorated. The price of the food is reasonable. My stake cost under £30 which is about normal for most restaurants. "The take away food here is amazing and such good value. We ordered here every week during the last 18 months of various lockdowns and they didn’t let us down once. We’ve recently moved out of their delivery area so can only get a take away when we’re at friends houses. On Saturday 18th we dined at the restaurant for the first time and as expected the food was wonderful. The gentleman working who was front of house, serving drinks and food, answering phone etc worked so hard and was so polite and lovely. Great experience, well done"

"We had a wonderful meal here, very lovely host and a unique experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Cardiff for something different. The hot pot broths were very flavoursome and authentic. A nice personal touch was a small gift bag with little sweets to take away!"

"Arrived on a Thursday afternoon at 2.30 to have a late lunch to be told we couldn't even order food until 4pm because the chef needed a break after cooking for a party of 14!!! I'm sorry but what chef needs 1hr and half for a break because he's cooked for 14 people? We had a 3 week old baby with us and frankly I found it disgusting. Dont bother going here, do what we ended up doing- drive a little bit further up the rd and eat at The Ty Mawr instead!!"
