"I went with a friend today for the first time as she recommended it's one of her favourites. I am a vegetarian so it's hard to find some hot spicy food in Halifax. I ordered Dan Dan extra spicy with vegetables and my friend ordered Thai Red with Chicken. We decided to do a combo with Spring rolls and soft drinks. The cooked fresh and everything was very delicious. You can add soya sauce as per your taste if you want extra. The place was nice giving a different atmosphere as if you are somewhere else. Although small but very efficient with fast service. I wish they add more Vegetarian options with spices."

"Freshii is a healthy fast food chain. they offer delicious bowls, packings, salads and much more. many customizable options for vegans and if they ask, they can make a diagram that let them know what is vegan-friendly. I had a delicious bowl with fresh vegetables, tofu, noodles and a soak with a zing and it was fabulous. it is a little pricy for fast eating, but the portions are decent and eating is fresh."

"This place offer very good pizza made the old fashion way. They take great pride in their vast selection of options. The lunch specials are excellent for quality, quantity and price. This is my favorite place in all Metro to get a pizza. Lots of free parking in front and lots of table space to sit in and eat if you prefere. A very friendly staff caters to whatever you want."

"I don't usually expect to really enjoy a meal in a food court, but there I was, in the MicMac Mall, enjoying a meal in a food court! Hubby decided he wanted Mediterranean so to keep things simple, I decided to try the place as...well. Hubby had the Combo #1 which had chicken and other meat in it, but I had the falafel plate with 2 kinds of salad. I chose my salads, and while I did have to wait for several minutes for my falafels to finish cooking, they were worth the wait. The salads were very good (broccoli, and another tossed salad) and the falafels were excellent. I ate every bit of my meal (except for the portion of falafels nabbed by the husband). I'd do it again. Good price and good food."

"Fresh the NSCC Culinary Program's restaurant at NSCC Akerley Campus, amazed us again. Last night was their Harvest Dinner mostly composed of dishes from the vegetables they grew in their Campus garden. The restaurant was creatively decorated with products from the garden, the seating...was homestyle which meant you could be seated with strangers, and screens played time lapse footage of the growth in the garden from the spring to harvest. It started with hors d'ouevres (zucchini courgettes, yoghurt flatbread, chickpea panisse) in the hall with a cucumber infused gin (locally distilled gin) palate cleanser. The mains were courses focussed on soil, earth, vine, forest, farm and orchard. Course was heirloom carrots in vienna malt (from Spindrift Brewing) horseradish cream and carrot top pesto paired with Spindrift Brewing's Carrot Coriander saison beer. Course was roasted, pickled and confit beets, Comencini mozzarella (fantastic! and honey paired with Luckett l'Acadie Blanc. Three was Raw and Olive Poached vine ripened tomatoes, charred and tempura eggplant and basil oil paired with Benjamin Bridge Small Lot Sauvignon Blanc. Four was Lobster Mushroom (locally foraged), buttercup squash agnolotti (Wow! seabuckthorn and aromatic broth paired with Lightfoot Wolfville Chardonnay. Five was Peking style "chicken' with poblano chicken mousse injected in the breast meat, basted times, turnips, potato and nasturtium buds (an unbelievable dish the peking chicken was !!!!!! paired with Benjamin Bridge Small Lot Cabernet Franc Rose. Sixth was Mead poached honey roasted peaches (their own), sweet corn ice cream and brown butter oat cake paired with Lightfoot Wolfville Bubbly Rose. For each course a different chef described the course they had led and where the ingredients were sourced and how it was cooked. Then each wine was described. Garth Brown is the program head and he delivered a phenomenal experience. I cannot think of a restaurant that could have matched this and I have dined in Michelin Star restos. The students serve, host, design, bake and cook the meal. Even the bread provided is incomparable. Major applause to Garth, the chefs and especially the students for an exceptional evening!"

"Warm Nova Scotia welcome with attentive service throughout. Relaxed upscale atmosphere. Appetizers were fab: tuna tataki and were chowder both terrific. Crobster roll and Burger were great as well. We enjoy the cocktail du jour- a spiked strawberry lemonade- which was just right on the...sweet to tart scale and a nice bottle of white wine. Pricey for casual food, but a great night out with friends! Will definitely return."

"We missed Habaneros so much while Covid. That's what my husband wanted to see, but they were closed and he and my son both asked for a rain check. We took out and ordered online very easy to do. Great side. I'll download the app. You can choose the time to pick up. It was delicious. This fresh taste of a Burrito bowl is something you can enjoy. The elections are great. Looks like they have all Covid restrictions. It's safe. Staff also excellent. Habaneros... you were missing."

"Hubby and I shared the sushi boat. The sushi came served on a beautiful wooden boat, and was delicious! Great selection of sushi, preceded by miso soup and salad. Really can only repeat how good it was!"
