"At the end of a long day hike through the Palatinate, from Leinsweiler to Flemlingen and St. Martin, we finally arrived in Deidesheim, for 6 pm we had reserved a table in the good kitchen of the winery Siben Erben. And after we had spent some time testing wines from the Deidesheimer VDP ware, we were standing at the right time in front of the great court gate of the Siben winery. Seven heirs is one of the founding members of the VDP and compared to the Deidesheim grand names of the VDP somewhat more unknown, but of course not for Carsten1972, we had already tasted and bought some good drops here. I've never been in my stomach and we wanted to get up. Schwiegervater had his birthday and got a wine tour through the Palatinate and this should be completed with a meal. The father-in-law is a real hover and you can't come to him with exotic delicacies, so LA Jordan or the black cock has fallen out of the search grid! But my wife had a flash of spirit in the preparation of our tour and remembered the kitchen of good seven heirs. "To complete the Pfalz visit in terms of reviews, a somewhat more compact review of the Restaurant des Steigenberger Hotel in Deidesheim. We had eaten lunch at the place and were deliberately not on Friday, but wanted to spontaneously decide where to eat. My wife studied the card in the elevator and the decision was made. There was mouth change so that the mother-in-law no longer allowed a contradiction. With not so great expectations that I entered the restaurant of the Steigenberger, I personally had some other restaurants in sight. "I read comments below about the restaurant thinking it will meet my expectations. The building itself is nice, interior design is modern, clean but lacks a bit of warmth in my eyes to make you feel cozier. Tables are very wide so it is difficult to have a conversation that wouldn't disturb people sitting next to you. Food is ok but far away from a wow factor. I had starter recommended by the restaurant. It consisted of five small dishes. I liked two or three of them the rest was just food. As a main I took tempura as I like shrimps. They were really nice, so were the vegetables. I got rice and miso soup on a side. Nothing really wrong with it, I did expect something special for the price you pay for such meal. Overrated, I am afraid."

We'll take a seat and ask if we want an aperitif. I look forward to the short trip with an overnight stay, and I don't want to ask you home today.
