"We ate here a couple of times during Feb 2018, after being recommended it by a family friend. Due to working hours we do, as a family it is very rare we are able to eat out on a sunday , so it has been a long time since we did a carvery, and this didn't fail. Superb!!.... Lovely selection on the starter table, Meats were cooked well and a great selection of vegetables. My only complaint... Yorkshires were hit and miss, and the Mash, both times, was peppered and no sign to say it was... caught us all out and it wasn't very nice, but all in all, it was fantastic value and will be returning again."

"We ordered takeaway from the website on 11th Feb 2024. The order was for 2 adult carvery costing £27.32 to be delivered by uber eats. Food was late, cold, and not even enough meat to feed 1 person let alone 2! The roast potatoes were all smashed up. We complained to the company who apologised told us to get a refund from uber eats. However, our order isn't showing on there website and no help is available either. We then phoned back the restaurant who said there was nothing they could do. Be very careful about who how you order your food from. We will certainly not be ordering again"

"Pub was EMPTY on a Thursday evening, we were the only ones in. Went for one of their own beers, which was cloudy and tasteless (definitely end of batch not stored right). After 5+ mins of waiting for it to settle we brought this up with the bar staff, who proceeded to pour herself a glass, sip it and tell us this is ‘how it is’, not acknowledging our disappointment, needless to say we were not impressed with the customer service. It’s a shame as we had been warned to avoid prior, but as real ale fans recently moving to Birmingham thought it was worth the trip"

"We visited on the bank holiday weekend in May, since they'd changed their name to Webster's Brewhouse and we thought they'd maybe incorporated a microbrewery or SOMETHING to warrant the name change. They don't brew anything in house and have an unimaginative line of mass-produced...ales on the pulls, so I can only imagine that they're trying to cash in on the trend for microbreweries without actually putting the work in. Really odd. Got given an overpriced gin in a half pint Pepsi glass. The clientele seems to mainly consist of the pint of Stella and tattooed neck crew. It's unrefined, unsophisticated and I don't understand why they're trying to appeal to anyone but their core demographic. If that's where they make their money then fair enough but stick to it and be honest about what you are."

"With friends for a Christmas meal and had a wonderful night. ridiculously good value for money with us all enjoy a course menu for less than anyone. we all had different nets and all well cooked, plentiful and tasty. really not. know how they do it for the money they charge. great small pub with excellent staff and always a fine selection of well maintained ales."
