"Couldn’t fault it. Prawn Pad Thai superb, Nasi Goreng also excellent, as were the Chicken Gyoza. And that was more than enough for two. Quite honestly some of the best Asian takeaway I’ve ever eaten and seemed to arrive just after I placed the order (although must have been 25 mins I guess). Strong recommend."

"Was here a few times the last time was Friday 13, and always found the food nice and the staff always nice and friendly. if they live too far away for delivery, so can not comment on this page. have had a few times their lunch special, with my children, and it's good. we especially like her flat brot."

"We live literally down the road and as we took our dog for a walk right past the pub, we stopped for dinner on the way back and sat in the massive beer garden. In actual fact, we were the only ones in there and it was great. Our dog joined us for dinner and she had pretty much free rein of the garden (on a 50ft lead). The food was hot and tasty and the service provided by Shaun by excellent. He was chatty and friendly and he did make me laugh when he kept saying I 'm sorry for no reason. I think it must be a British thing. Given covid, I am glad The Old White Horse survived and I really hope it continues to thrive. My only observation is the beer garden. It is massive, it backs on to fields and has a view of the setting sun but it 's a little bit underwhelming and neglected. However, this is just an observation and certainly won 't stop us going here again."

"After a 3.5km walk with our dog, we decided to stop here for breakfast (despite the 4 way traffic lights on St Mary's Lane). I don't recall ever having a bad meal from here and today was no exception despite the fact it was busy with cyclists. The service was quick and the food was hot so there is nothing negative to say. The weather really helped so we sat outside but what I didn't understand was how someone we don't know joins our without asking? Another positive is that Puddledock welcomes dogs and I know not all of them are well behaved but to find a dog friendly cafe, is a real bonus."

"Have visited this Beefeater several times and each time the men's toilets near the bar have been out of order!!!! We stayed 3 nights in the Premier Inn next door and on the last night both the male and female toilets were out of order near the door between Premier Inn and Beefeater. The female toilets near the bar smelt!! On a better note, the food was very good, great menu for adults and children. All staff were happy, helpful and friendly. Food came quickly after being ordered, good size portions, well cooked and presented, hot and tasty. All in all the meal was great, no problems at all."

"Total waste of time money. Some food were served Cold or slightly warm, ridiculous, Steak was the worst ever tasted. They don’t know the meaning of steak, casserole was disgusting."
