"This is the third time I’ve visited Ilze’s and every time it’s been a treat. Fabulous service, excellent chocolates, and this time I bought a selection of macaroons for my wife. She has very kindly allowed me to eat one (pistachio) and wow! Not just the best macaroon I’ve ever eaten, it was one of the nicest things of any sort I’ve ever eaten. If you need a special gift of chocolates or macaroons for someone this place is faultless. Thank you Ilze."

"I was desperately looking for Mexican food on the terminal 5 of the airport heathrow and did not find any, I finally decided for the giraffe stop. I had to wait about 5 minutes in the waiting queue to get a table. as most people could be in a hurry, they have a directive to serve them their court under 15 minutes. I must say that the service was also quite fast when full occupancy. I had headaches and finally ordered a halloumi and falafel burger. it was simply great with a bowl served next to. fresh calf and apple juice. it was a booster to help me relieve my headache and nausea. "Just loved the ambiance felt like an old world Victorian charm. Food was completely awesome. Worth every penny. Loved everything around in there. You need to place an order and pay upfront, then you are handed over a wooden spoon with a number written on it and you're set. "We wanted somewhere we could catch up with our cousin who we hadn't seen for a number of years. He wanted to go to a pub and my sister found details for The Plough. We were given a warm welcome, service was great and they were understanding when we needed more time as we'd be busy talking rather than choosing from the menu. I went for the chicken curry and my sister and cousin decided on the steak and ale pie you can see from the photos that the portions were generous and the food tasted delicious! I'd highly recommend The Plough to anyone, it was the perfect place for a catch up and when I'm back in the area again I'll be popping in for another meal ."
