"Had fantastic service from Cecilia and Elvis, they were friendly, helpful and accommodating, and didn’t mind all the questions I asked. The olives are too die for and the anchovies were delicious! "We visited this small family run Restaurant on a recent Saturday and we were so impressed we visited again last Sunday.Saturday was so busy and we had to book well ahead.In spite of the heavy bookings the service was good and we had to wait only 25 minutes for the mains.The tandoori roti was crisp and tasty.The chicken vindaloo was made only moderately hot at our request and was excellent.Vegetables included Mahkani Dhall a tasty lentil curry,a curry made from Aubergine which again was well made and to the taste of all 4 of the diners.This is a BYO restaurant hence we had soft drinks and mango lassi,a drink of pulped mango and Yogurt.All in all a good dining experience.Impressed by our initial visit 5 of us including two Aussies and three Aussies of Indian dissent visited on a Sunday.There were only customers on two tables in contrast to the Saturday.The coid rainy day might have had some effect.We were well prepared with our wines this time.The food was exceptional with the juicy Tandoori chicken a stand out.The chicken vindaloo was very good,but Dhall gosth,a lamb curry with lentils was only average.The vegetables inciuded Aubergines,Spinash,lentils,and the salad with yogurt were all of high standard.A good Indian dining experience by the 5 seasoned regular travellers to India and familiar with most Melbourne Indian restaurants.Prefer to visit on a Sunday next time.Not a 5 star restaurant but well prepared ,tasty whoiesome food.Main dishes were between 18 and 28 dollars.One will not go home hungry."

"Walking by, I dropped into Florina's as it looked attractive with it's classic charm. It's relaxing place with a family feel and friendly service.<br/ <br/ The meals were generous and classic in their approach. The whitebait was particularly good. This is a place I'll be back to."

"Ordered Sizzling Beancurd for takeaway but they gave me Beancurd with Mix Vegetables instead. Rang the restaurant about the mix up in order, and the owner himself picked up my call. He gave all sorts of excuses and tried all means and ways to avoid admitting his mistake. No apology nothing, OVER CHARGED me for the wrong dish and refused to compensate me for it, RAISED his voice over the phone, so rude and such a loser for his behaviour! Food is sooo average, they claim that they serve Malaysian cuisine but he does not even know how Sizzling Beancurd should be cooked, instead deceiving his customers by using mix vegetables with beancurd to pretend as sizzling beancurd . Absurd and ridiculous, food is NOT AUTHENTIC Malaysian! The owner is a BIG LIAR! AVOID AT ALL COST, VERY RUDE AND CHEATING RESTAURANT! DO NOT TRUST!"

"We enjoyed the set menu with some alterations. Overall, the food was good, but I would advise the selection of individual dishes or seafood/meat platters. The dips served with warm bread were very good tarama, hommus, tsatziki, eggplant. Zucchini chips and chargrilled vegetables were great vegetables glazed in balsamic and fig infusion, definitely order with meat dishes. The seafood component consisted of blue eye which was great and would be ordered separately in future; calamari was okay, certainly nothing special, would advise trying chargrilled than fried. Prawns were good as one should expect; next time would order scallops which come with the seafood platter. The meat platter didn’t wow me; with the exception of the lamb cutlets, once again order separately. The gyros was so so, needs more seasoning; ie. oregano, salt; the spicy sausage I thought was disappointing, not worth ordering in future. The desserts provided were good, certainly good for a sweetooth, perhaps a little overpowering for those who don’t like things overly sweet. The service was attentive and of a good standard, would recommend this restaurant but don’t opt for set menu, order separate dishes or a seafood platter with chargrilled calamari."
