"Popped in for a take away after a walk and have to say it was some of the best Chinese food I have had in ages. The char Sui was lovely and tender unlike 90% of take aways. Great value too, the portions were very generous. We will be back again"

"Went today for lunch very disappointed with the service waited over an hour for 2 burgers then had to ask staff where one of the burgers was that was ordered only to find out that it had been given to another customer not in our party and not even what he had ordered. H ad to take the food up to the servery to find out what was what, food was cold as it had been stood waiting to be collected then one of the burgers had to be sent bck as kitchen staff had got it wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Waitress was so polite and quick. Very busy which was easy to see why when the food was so good too. We'll definitely be back and recommend to friends! EDIT: Had to take it down from 5 to 4 stars due to the smell of oil that's clinged to our clothes and hair. After getting home we had a whiff of the smell and when it didn't go away we checked the clothes and after reading other reviews it seems that it's a common problem there with a lack of ventilation. I'll still recommend it but next time I'll wear my tracksuit and not my dry clean only clothes...."

"Eating is very good, the portions are amazing. prices okay. the staff is very nice and friendly. restaurant is cold. the seat is hard and unpleasant. the grooves in the wooden table plates are disgustingly packed with old foods! a danger to health."

"We visited for Christmas Eve lunch, arrived at just before 12.00pm and the carpark was absolutely full, we eventually managed to park up (not in a bay) and as we went inside we realised that the local church was using the carpark as they had a Christmas service, which must have finished as we arrived. The weather was atrocious, wet and windy, we made our way to the bar area and were then informed that the restaurant had moved and that we had to go back outside and retrace our footsteps to the building we had just passed in the carpark, we assume this was the wedding venue. Surely there must be a way through the building from the bar without having to go back outside. This also happened to other groups of diners. A very nice room with a long empty bar suitable for a wedding but it seemed cold and impersonal with just a couple of tables in use! It took a while for staff to take our order but when it arrived the food was very nice and plenty of it. The log fire was a nice touch, however, the wind was blowing the smoke back into the room which made all our clothes smell, not to mention eating whilst breathing in smoke. Staff were setting up more tables as we ate, all in all, not a great ambiance or atmosphere. As stated, the food was very nice but the coffee was cold and the mince pies never arrived! One would expect that as this venue caters for large weddings that all these niggles would have been ironed out. Room for improvement!!"
