"We had food delivered from this branch last sunday. The staff I talked to when ordering was really helpful and professional. The food arrived early as well so overall it was a great experience. Will definitely order from this branch again. :)"

"Ah Ye Dang, the go-to Korean restaurant. I have been here only twice and twice they didn't disappoint. Had lunch with my friends working in Ortigas so it's readily accessible, easily a walking distance from major offices. It is usually full during weekend nights but it was practically empty when we went there for a weekday lunch.

Like most Korean restaurants, they serve a plethora of banchan but can only refill two of them. We especially like the caramelized baby potatoes so we had those for refill twice.

Ordered Jap Chae, Galbi-jjim and Samgyeopsal for main dishes. The Jap Chae is one of my favourite Korean dish and Ye Dang cooked them very much to my liking. The sweetness is just enough, the glass noodles firm and topped with assorted vegetables and meat. The serving is huge that we had to pack half of it.

Galbijim is basically braised short ribs (beef/pork). This dish easily goes with rice (it's a stew dish). The beef was cooked well/tender and will easily break apart.

Samgyeopsal is a dish composed of plain, unseasoned, pork belly slices. Their Samgyupsal is on the thin side served with slices of onion and is nothing special. The dish is served with a ssamjang and lettuce which are wrapped and eaten all together."

"Was excited to try the food here. As we enter we were seated right away. As it was my first time eating here a waiter gave us a quick tutorial on how to order using the iPad tablet on the table. I was a bit confused though as we were also given the usual table menu. They told us that there were some items that are in the paper menu but are not on the iPad menu. And only the items that are on the iPad that are available for ordering. That said, it still didn't explained why they gave us the paper menu. Anyway, so we ordered from the tablet, and it was so nifty and "hi tech" and the food was service was also quite fast since we were served maybe within 10 to 15 minutes. Also if you are not comfortable ordering via iPad, a waiter can explain everything to you.

As for the food, most of their items are served "teishoku" style or "complete meal set" style. In other words, most of their entrees comes with a bowl of rice, miso soup, chawanmushi or japanese savory egg custard and japanese pickles. I had the Mix Toji Teishoku which is a mix of pork Katsu, shrimp katsu and sukiyaki style beef served on a hot stone dish and the rice was served separately. My brother had the sukiyaki teishoku which is a a big bowl of sukiyaki with both thin noodles and thick udon noodles. As for flavor, it was really good. I like that the sukiyaki beef was really tender and sweet. And the pork katsu was also tender and flavorful. I love that the food were served on hot stone dishes which kept the food warm all through out the entire meal. What I didn't like though, was that the rice and the miso soup were not refillable. But the rice was real Japanese rice so it was really good eventhugh it was "bitin". I ate everything on my set except for the chawanmushi which I never really developed a liking to. Drinks were not included with the set so we ordered lemon iced tea which was also not refillable.

Once you are done, you can again click on the iPad to check your bill and to signal the waiter to get your payment. Prices were a bit expensive comparing it to other Japanese restaurants and considering they don't have free refills.

This is not the first restaurant that I have eaten here in Manila that offers this unique experience of ordering from a tablet. And I think it is a more efficient way of servicing customers. I think children of all ages will like this new "hi-tech" way of service. I just wish this establishment will have more branches out soon!"

"Celebrated my sister's birthday dinner here. Good thing we were able to get Metrodeal vouchers so we only had to pay a discounted price of P483 per head.

Not my first time to go to Yakimix so my expectations were quite manageable. I still love the grilling option which is one of its "unique" touch when compared to other most frequented non Korean BBQ buffets. I also noted that there were not much viand selection except for the raw ones you can barbecue. I hated the sweet and sour pork--worst ones I've tried to be honest.

I loved the sausage and tempura (nothing new but exceed expectations). My sister loved the coffee haha. My youngest sister enjoyed the ice cream selection and DIY halo-halo but there's still so much room for improvement for the dessert selection and taste.

If we dined here on its original price of P699, it really only deserves 3.5 stars. Not exceptional but my happy and filled tummy loved it just enough."

"Ambiance • 5/5 • The whole restaurant can house approx. 50 people and the place is pristine and posh. I really love the aesthetics of it since it is well-lit, which gave me IG-worthy photos as a result. I've always been a fan of brick walls too, so it's a plus for me. Yay! :)
Service • 3.5/5 • The servers and outlet manager were pleasant-looking and efficient, but I believe they can still improve on their attentiveness and being communicative. It wouldn't hurt to smile often, too! :)
Taste of Food • 3.5/5 • Their Salted Egg Fried Chicken is really delish! I would've given it 5-stars if I hadn't tasted that of DTF's, so I'll only give a score of 4. But it's still heavenly AF especially when paired with their YC rice and chili sauce so you guys should seriously try it! :) Meanwhile, I'd give 3.5 to their Emperor Chopseuy & Yang Chow Rice. Reason? I tasted better versions of these dishes in other Chinese restaurants.
Value for Money • 4.5/5 • Three... read more"

"Food may be on the pricey side but its definitely worth the try. I always come here with my boyfriend and it has never failed our expectations.

10/10 AMBIENCE - Luxurious and quiet feeling if you want some privacy with good food
9.5/10 FOOD - Some pastas may not be that good but i recommend the lasagna, tea sets and macarons! If you're confused on which tea you should get, try the vanilla bourbon! One of my favorites
9/10 SERVICE - Everyone was so kind!

FOODIARIES : https://youtu.be/ykyM-MBLdEM
WATCH MY VIDEO REGARDING TWG FOR MORE INFORMATION ❤️"

"Going Japanese on a budget!

If you are craving for the common Japanese fare but don't have much moolah, Tok-yu is for you. This hole-in-the-wall restaurant within the Pioneer Center compound truly surprised me.
Food: I tasted their Seafood Ramen and it reaaaally hit the spot: it's got a little bit of everything: crab, fish, squid, clam. I've also had the ebi tempura, California maki, super mix salmon, and beef misono on my past visits -- they were good. Not WOW GOOD, just OKAY GOOD. They're not bad at all; I've definitely had better, but at those prices, I ain't complaining one bit! Prices are so low, that one time, there were 5 of us, and the bill was less than P1000.

Ambiance: an air-conditioned eatery. Don't expect much. Nothing fancy about it at all.

Service: On my first visit, I was there at 2:30PM. It was after the lunch hour, and way too early for the dinner rush. They were very attentive. My succeeding visits were a different story: it was always... read more"

"The Red Crab’s menu is all about seafood but there’s quite a bit of variety. We had Crispy Chicaron Bulaklak (PhP 245) and Baby Squid Sisig (PhP 195) for starters. The lovely crackle on the fried pork intestines made the crunchy chicharon bulaklak an amicable affair. We could not ask more from that golden brown crispy skin.

Sautéed with liver, the baby squid sisig was just average and didn’t leave a good impression. The fact that I deserted the dish after the second mouthful was a clear testament. Perhaps removing the liver and putting in more onions and seasonings will make it more pleasant-tasting.

Crab Adobo (PhP 195/100g) is one of the best signature dishes at The Red Crab. Comprising a blend of various salts and spices, the fresh crab’s meat tasted naturally sweet with fried garlic and aligue. Roe lovers may expect to rejoice as there’s more than enough to share. The sweet sauce that coated the crabs was also particularly addictive as it went well with plain rice, making a filling meal. How did I know it was fresh? The whole pincer was packed with solid meat—not the loose kind that falls apart easily.

Lapu-Lapu with Sweet and Sour Sauce (PhP 185/100g) reminded me fondly of my mom’s cooking as this was one of her star dishes that would make me cancel my dinner plans to head home for a homecooked meal. The tasty sauce dressed the fish equally and the fish was deep-fried for a succulent yet crispy bite.

Lapu-Lapu with Chili Mango Sauce (PhP 185/100g) was as well a stunner. Mango sauce was tad weird for my liking though, so while the subtle sweetness of it did the lapu-lapu recipe justice, I have my preference with the more conventional technique.

To compensate for our “seafood quota” on that meal, we had two plates of Sigarilyas Express (PhP 245) which was served with thinly sliced winged beans and kangkong stalks. Cooked in coconut milk and chili with crisp-fried pork belly, this vegetable entrée had the right level of spiciness and a slightly sweet tinge to it. It was fine but not really a “wow” kind of dish. I’ve had better.

Lastly, the Manila Pork Ribs (PhP 325) came with a rich glaze of sweet pineapple-infused barbecue sauce and a texture that’s tender yet meaty. Earning compliments for its “well rendered fat,” the pork ribs tasted robust without being overzealous. It did not have a fall-of-the-bone softness; rather, the meat was released with just a gentle tug of the teeth, not a pain to eat.

rochkirstin.com"
