"Travelling to St Omer for a short break with my husband.. Emailed my reservation and reply was promptly confirmed. The table was ours for the evening. Table for us by the window. Very comfortable with fresh rose and sparkling clean glasses and cutlery.We both started with foie gras which was delicious and the fresh juniper berries added to the flavour.I had the duck and my husband the beef. Both served with green beans and a separate pot of potatoes dauphinois.Again very well presented and delicious.Highly recommend dessert and I had the chocolate fondant ... spectacular flavour.Very good carafe of house rose.. couldn't fault the meal and service.Kate is a delight.Will most certainly return if in the area again.Merci .. a bientot"

"Some the staff speak excellent English if you need this. The food was good if unadventurous. I had salmon fillet which was a large portion served with mainly rice. The salmon was cooked well. My husband's steak was a bit chewy though. Dessert of profiteroles was enormous - filled with ice cream instead of cream with a rich chocolate sauce. We saw other people having pizza and they looked good. If you want proper french food or fine dining this is not the place for you but it was good for generous portions and friendly service."

"My husband and I are here to support International Canoe Polo Championships. So it was our first evening in St.Omer. We feel fortunate in choosing the restaurant for dinner.The menu choices gave sufficient options, the lady serving helped us with translation, made us feel welcome. The food was lovely, our starter of smoked salmon piece on a pancake delicious. The mains had good selection of vegetables, in our experience not always the case in France! The dessert choices all tempting but I was very pleased with my creme caramel! My husband enjoyed choosing the wine and we felt we had good value for money.We would be happy to eat another evening before returning home."
