"Visited based on other TripAdvisor reviews and we were not disappointed. The parking lot was full and it was unclear if street parking was permissible but we parked in a marked spot outside of a closed bank just down the street. Once inside we were greeted warmly and immediately seated inside a barrel. Quirky for sure but really good fun. The menu is large and includes traditional German food. Portions are very large. My sons had regular adult meals as they are good eaters and usually still hungry after a kids portion. Turkey and spaetzle was a massive platter covered in a tasty mushroom gravy. Battered fish was also quite a big portion and the waitstaff easily accommodated our request to substitute vegetables (which looked like a standard pack of steamed from frozen cauliflower and carrots) for the prescribed side dish of potato salad. For the adults -we shared a wine flight which consisted of 7 generous samples of house made wine - very reasonable at about 7 euro. My husband had a hot stone steak that he very much enjoyed. I had salmon tagliatelle. The salmon was just okay but again a massive portion. The tagliatelle was the highlight of the plate and still just okay. The novelty of sitting in the barrel does not get old. The service was prompt and friendly. Four stars because the food was good but not terribly special. Prices were a bit high but not outrageous for a family night out."

"The hotel is located in the city centre sinsheim of dühren. nice, modern interior, fresh flowers on the table, beautiful, large beer garden- so must look a good place. the menu offers a wide range of bath specialties, German home kitchen, pizza and pasta. we ordered: chick plums with crumbling and warm, sugary babes - highly recommended! sinsheimeronion röst with sweet and pommes, as well as kartoffel bag with cheese filling and sweet all tastefully delicious. the service was very child-friendly and brought to the children's card like pencils and block painting."
