"The sign at the restaurant for the old Stephan announces the year 1038. The time has not stopped, because guests are spoiled in the cozy restaurant of the highest quality. Gourmets like to meet in the restaurant to the Old Stephan in the Zunftstube , but...also in the Gaststube , or by good weather, outside in the garden restaurant on the beautiful Friedhofsplatz. The last Saturday, we had a dinner with you in the „Gaststube“. First, we were surprised with an beautiful amuse bouche and then followed the Zahnderrückenfilet (fish) with mascarpone risotto with spring vegetables on maltaiser sauce. It was an outstanding, wonderful meal. Bravo to the cook Stefan Bader with his 14 Gault Millau points. The great service and attention by the landlady Tamara Bader herself and her team was impressive. . The mixture to the old Stephan is perfect. Culinary delights paired with genuine hospitality in a well maintained, relaxed environment. Thank you for the great food we look forward to the next time! Robert Iris"

"I used to be at l’entrecôte in bern, right in front of the federal house. the place to pick up a federal or parlementar. I ate there with alain b. when he ended in the new york times with his descent on the...earth @UN style, l’entrecôte went from a fairly well-known tipp, in bern and surroundings, for the equivalent of the bar, in the older/elderly women to pick young men of balcanese descended, but here as with young women men who would see them on Swiss twälnasay (stasay). Anyway, if the word was out, you could hardly get a table to enjoy the excellent and well-priced entrecôte with so much pommes and salat as you could eat, never sit there for hours for some light people watching. drinks were not cheap, but were still reasonable about the offered. Instead, the international riffraff wanted to enter the deal and also the neighbouring joints like chez eddy, where we stayed in our student days, started to jazz up to unreliable tourist traps. Luckily I discovered this joint in the picturesque solo thurn, which still offers good, old-fashioned entrecôte, misttkratzerli and solothurn weinuppe. not overcrowded, especially in november or December (to christmas vinsinn meets, this is.) more beautiful place for a short retreat and delight. merci, thank you, thank you!"

"We followed the recommendations on Tripadvisor and had dinner tonight at this restaurant. It met all our expectations. The food was fresh, tasty and creative. The sauces were light and the perfect addition to the vegetables. The staff were pleasant and helpful . The prices were very reasonable for Switzerland. We plan to go again soon. Definitely make a reservation as the restaurant is somewhat small . It was completely booked this evening until around 9 p.m."
