"We went as a group of 8 for a birthday. We were warmly greeted when we arrived and sat in a long table, they are licensed and have a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available. We ate off the set menu and there is a good choice of starters and mains that we could all easily pick off the set menu. The food was great, tasty and quickly served. The staff are friendly and helpful and able to make suggestions of you are not sure or want to try something new and different We have been before and will go again"

"I had been looking forward to eating here for ages. I booked for my family which was 6 people. We were sat at the table nearest the kitchen but seemed to be ignored. We watched other families come and go but our sevice was slow. Starter of soup was pleasant but nothing amazing. Main of beef was a suprise. The beef was very rare but was quite tender. My sister-in-law sent her beef back asking for it to be cooked a little more. It was replaced by some overcooked beef which is not what she asked for. The dinner only had roast potatoes and cabbage. It lacked carrots etc. The cauliflower cheese was nice but with orange cheese which was a little strange. Dessert was ok. I had rhubard fool which was like a posh angel delight. My sister-in-law asked to not have blue cheese on her cheeseboard but it was still on it when brought out. She asked to return it and the waitress just whipped the blue cheese off. The other cheese wasn't eaten as the cheese smelt of the blue cheese. My sister-in-law explianed why not eaten but waitress not interested. There was no rapport built, we felt abandoned and genrally disappointed with the experience. It did not live up to the award winning status it promised. I would say the food was ok but nothing special. It wasn't worth the money and with the exception of the young female waitress, the service was poor."

"I drive past the Six Ashes everyday on my commute from Bridgnorth to Birmingham for the past 7 yearsand I have often wondered what it was like. Today we finally decided to go and it definitely did not disappoint.We ordered the vegetarian Sunday Dinners and a jacket potato. The Potato was huge with a great salad, the vegetarian mains were fantastic, a Mediterranean vegetable Wellington with vegetables and roast potatoes. Very well priced too, we will definitely be returning, I would've taken a picture of my dinner but by the time I thought about it, it was gone"

"Not normally a fan of a carvery, but this was fabulous. Great selection of vegetables with the star performer the dauphinoise potatoes. Excellent dinner with a good pint of 'Wainwright '. Don 't even know how much it cost; brother paid!! Perfect......"
