"We had dinner here on Friday night. It filled up quickly after we got there. The meal was old country pub style which we love. Mash potato and vegetables served with, for me, 2 very tasty rissoles with gravy and for him, steak and vegetables with mash. Yum!! The pub is in the main street and the meals are substantial and delicious. We'll definitely be back and can recommend."

"On a visit to this place after a netball carnival found the toilets filthy and the floors in the eating area looked as though they had never been cleaned. Would never return."

"Went for dinner the night before a low of -6 degrees was forecast. There were 4 other diners in the restaurant and only one small wall heater on. All the other heaters were turned off. All tables only had white table clothes on them, no cutlery, serviettes, sauces. A polite lady bought the menus over and I ordered a beer to be told sold out so I ordered another brand of beer to be to told sold out. The lady told me they sold out on Saturday night. I said it’s Tuesday now and the bottle shop is a hundred metres away. Anyway that made no sense. Special fried rice was very ordinary and came out dark brown almost black looking rice. Mongolian lamb was more vegetables than lamb and the BBQ duck was ok. The prices are not cheap either. Certainly not a place I will revisit."

"After reading rave reviews by Trip Advisor folk, we went with high hopes to Claudia's on a wet and cold day. A large fire was burning in the corner of the large dining room, so we were quite cosy. Perhaps it was a bad day for the chef as the food left much to be desired. My Schnitzel was dry, in spite of a topping of melted cheese and the vegetables were boiled and uninteresting. My husband's combo pleased him with the sausage component but not with the schnitzel and vegetables. The German beer was great. We did like the atmosphere and found Claudia to be informative and friendly - an interesting person."

"Found this great place by accident and what a great place! Immaculately clean, food so fresh with an unusual array of food - from Egyptian street food to crumbed brains and the freshest salads I've ever had. Coffee was excellent and the deserts are a dream - rubarb cheesecake, baklava and a jam and fresh cream sponge like my nana used to make. My friend had never had a sponge like that and I explained it was a real sponge made with butter and eggs - not flour and air!Entry from two streets and excellent disability facilities. The only improvement I would suggest is adding some fizzy drinks to the drinks menu which is currently just juices. Maybe a fizzy mineral water or some homemade lemonade as some people don't want juices - just something light and refreshing. They do offer filtered water for free. Great place!"
