"Had an unplanned but amazing trip at the Castle Inn. The staff were very friendly and made us feel so welcome. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent, with great menus, and the room was beautiful and clean. Ben, in particular, went above and beyond for us. He was so gregarious and knowledgeable. He is a total credit to your business."

"We had several meals here during our stay, the food is great and service excellent. We arrived one evening a downpour with three wet dogs and they could not do enough to help get them dry (and us) and settled. Thanks to everyone there for some great memories."

"An awesome carvery. Lovely beef/turkey and wonderful array of vegetables. Nice Covid regulations implementation by friendly staff who walked your food to your table after you chose what you wanted. Shields at the end of the table a nice touch too. Suffice to say it...was a top dining experience reasonably priced with a yesteryear vibe. Shame there was no room in my tummy for the sweet trolley that looked amazing. Highly recommended."

"No way do I recommend this hotel. Shabby, room had cobwebs and crumbs on the floor. Everything was too much trouble for the lady who runs it. Needs a good make over and change of management"

"On holiday and decided to eat out at the kings arms as recommended by our hosts. Didn’t have signal so contacted them through messenger and Faye (landlady) rang the pub for us and booked us in, even though they were busy and pretty much booked up. And on a Wednesday evening. The pub itself is brilliant, a proper English pub which is warm, friendly full of locals and a fantastic feel to it. The food was superb too. Best burger I’ve ever had!! (The kings dick). We had 2 children with us and although they didn’t have a children’s menu they sorted us out with the option of smaller child portions. Will definitely be coming again when we’re back in the area. I never write reviews but because it was such a great experience I had too!! Thank you to Faye and her great team!"

"We really enjoyed our stay in the bickford arms. our room was clean and comfortable, our evening meal was excellent (especially the chips) and our breakfast freshly cooked and plentiful. what was really excellent were the beautiful, friendly staff. nothing was too much annoyed for them, they let us feel very welcome."
