"Never one to turn down a for offer on a course meal, we visited on a Saturday night and found a lively atmosphere.I had calamari as a starter, very well cooked and not too filling with courses to face. My wife had camembert wedges lovely and gooey and the cranberry sauce was a great accompaniment.For a change I tried Paella as my main course it was piping hot, almost too hot ti eat. The mussels were small but juicy and tasty but the squid wasn’t as nice as the starter. I would have liked the rice to have more liquid and some extra spice. My wufe had the peri peri chicken and chorizo hanging kebab and I think she made a better choice. There were big chunks of juicy chicken mixed in with vegetables.For dessert I had a luscious chocolate brownie sundae although I’m sure the calorie count was high, it still felt light and creamy. My wife had a very rich warm chocolate brownie.Total bill including drinks after our discount was was our visit and we’ve enjoyed it on each occasion."

"Had the course Christmas menu, main course was very disappointing. Turkey was cold and fatty, carrots were clap cold, mash potatoes were lumpy, had to wait along time for more vegetables to come out as there wasn't enough sprouts for everyone. Sat under an...air conditioning unit blowing cold air on us for the majority of our meal which was uncomfortable. Soup was nice. The best bit was dessert which was ginger sponge and ice cream. The waiters are very wooden and atmosphere feels forced."

"We travelled nearly an hour to get to the museum but it was worth it just to eat at the cafe here. The food all looked fantastic. The home-cooked steak and ale pie and fresh vegetables was delicious. I would highly recommend this. The cakes...looked fabulous too."

"Very good. many foods for four adult, in which we have ended, a tablet of meat to house as there was so much: 2 bark meat, 2 pigs and a chicken bread ever! plus veg, kartoffeln and yorkshire pudding."

"Visited 1610 restaurant as a party of nine to celebrate family birthdays ,the set menu which is a starter and main for £18 was excellent the portions were plentiful the food hot and good quality . Had to ask for a bread basket and side plates they were quickly brought to the table we weren't rushed by the staff who were very attentive . Afterwards we went into the pub side of the hotel here the staff were very friendly it's a lovely place to have a great evening well done and thank you"
