"Beautiful place to eat with the sun that goes down as it looks at some breathtaking scenery. but eating was not great, although the service was friendly. as an example we had baignet as a starter (which seems to be almost on every corsican...menu). here they were hard, like golf balls. not so different!"

"This place is an example of what TRIP ADVISOR is the very best at - helping people find gems off the tourist track ! If you are staying near St Florent, drive three minutes out to LECLERC supermarket and turn right following the signs to Le Potager - do not be discouraged by the half mile dirt track and then the lack of restaurant signs......or even sign of any life at all ....... turn left over the bridge through the metal gate and walk down to this little piece of paradise in a field ! This lovely eco couple grow much of their own produce and source everything else as locally as possible.She serves and delights with explanations of the daily changing menu and he works wonders in the open plan kitchenTables are scattered under the trees with candles and fairy lights, the night stars shine and you are miles away from the glitz and glamour of the yachts in St Florent.and the food is great - local produce served in a surprisingly sophisticated style with meat, fish and vegetarian options .local cold meats and cheeses and wine from the best eco producers on the island.All this comes at a very reasonable price - 100 euros for 3 courses, too much wine and coffee....Closed Mondays - check hours by phoning ahead so that the dusty and bumpy drive is not wasted"
