"Since we were staying in Schwangau, we looked for restaurants and found this one. Turns out the food was wonderful, and we loved the outdoor dining area. Had a pork shank that was probably the best I’ve ever had and the price was more than...reasonable. We liked it so much we went back there 2 nights later. Although it was pouring rain, they had part of the outside seating under covers, so we sat outside again. The food was still outstanding."

"Walked along the picturesque path from Füssen and stumbled upon this lovely restaurant hotel. Sat outside (Round the back) in the sunshine and had a delicious lunch. Waiter was extremely helpful. Food was cooked perfectly. One of those moments in time you don’t forget....Took the ferry boat back to Füssen it stops right outside the hotel."

"I only know the restaurant at Hotel Steiger. There is a pleasant atmosphere, there is no rest day and the food is really very good and a little more expensive - for that it has a good quality. Warm kitchen is available from 12.00 to 14.00 and 17.30 to 20.30."

"Die Gaststätte haben wir im Rahmen einer Wanderung besucht. Viele Wanderwege, die gut ausgeschildert sind, führen hier entlang. Man kann vom Tegelberg von oben kommen oder über Schloss Neuschwanstein von unten. Die Auswahl an Essen und Getränken ist regional. Wir sind lecker und gut bewirtet worden. Es gibt eine schöne Sonnenterrasse, auf der man es sich gut gehen lassen kann."

"We stayed for 7 days at the hotel. It was quite an experience. The place is large but relatively basic by European hotel standards.It is more like a bed and breakfast place that you find in the UK. We had rooWe stayed for 7 days...at the hotel. It was quite an experience. The place is large but relatively basic by European hotel standards. It is more like a bed and breakfast place that you find in the UK. We had rooms which are furnished in what can only be described as eclectic manner. We had an awful pastel mural covering one wall of the local scenery and fake Greek plinths as a TV stand. The rooms have separate WC and bathroom that has a shower and no bath. We did have spectacular view of the mountains and castles especially at night when one is lit up. The breakfasts were superb but the main meals tended to be very similar. The vegetarian food was not good and the meat eaters said that theirs was not much better. There is a much better eating venue across the road at a local tavern. The hotel does offer free use of bikes which is excellent for touring local sites. One aspect that disappointed me slightly was that from the brochure it appears that this place is located in the countryside. It is not. It is in the middle of village which must be said is charming. ms which are furnished in what can oly be described as ecletic"
