"A large pocket with a fat delicious. pakoras and samosas. they sat for a because in the warmth, so they were perhaps not as sharp as they would like (all right, they were nowhere near as crisp) and the white paper bag they were with oil transparent, but by gosh they were delicious. for a lunch it was a bit in order, in a guilty wrong, but it is right."

"Five stars is probably a bit too much but four doesn't reflect the value.THis place is a little hard to find compared amongst its competition. You will only find it as you walk past the door and see the sign pointing downstairs. The menu leaflet they have says it is opposite the police station on Hindley St. True, and it would be hard to find it without the instruction, but I did have a giggle at thinking that a restaurant says you can find it courtesy of the cop shop on a street that floods with drunks on Friday and Saturday nights!Anyway, the restaurant is in a basement or at least a lower floor. It is decorated with pretty realistic looking plastic flowers and plastic table coverings for us people who can't keep the food on the dishes. It is actually quite practical and no doubt realistic given the .. drunk .. people and turnover they need to keep afloat.Service was extremely friendly - you won't find better. My only gripe is that they were a little slow in getting my Rogan Josh and rice to me - it took them a beer and a half to get to me. Or maybe half an hour despite the place being a third full although there was one large group in the corner.They als have a huge fan in the same corner. It woud measure three to four feet wide which makes me wonder if the place gets hot in summer even though it is a basement ... but I digress!This place is definately worth eating at. As an example of prices, most of their chicken and lamb dishes are $17 and as I said, service flawless. Also the size of their serving is generous. Maybe that's why I'm leaning to a five star rating...Just take cash though. They want $2 if you use a credit card, such is how tight things must be when running a restaurant on Hindley St."

"We had an absolutely lovely dinner for our anniversary. Staff were attentive but not overwhelming. Food was delicious and plentiful (we had the banquet for people who aren't starving and had plenty). We will be back in the future."
