"Friends of mine have traveled over eating in vedanta. Finally, I had the opportunity to taste the food they had done so much. the place itself was tiny and with two large groups (each with 10 people) made the place very clogged. the food was a good and a little spicy (for me), but the portion size of the appetizers was tiny. it was almost the portion size of a tapas. each main dish was good, except the dosa (indian version of a crepe/pancake) that was not properly cooked and the teig felt as if he had not properly fermented. also the coconut cutney that accompanied the dosa was not well prepared. maybe it was just a bad day for dosas. definitiw a place where I eat again and would recommend to others."

"Fiddle and Firkin is right on the main street so very convenient. It appears that parking is only on the street and as such would be limited during peak hours. The building is old, well kept and offers a pub feel. Service could not have been better; prompt, accurate and just the right amount of attention. Unfortunately who ever is in charge of the kitchen on this occasion and dish fell short. Shepherd's pie (and it's a common mistake in North America) is made with lamb. Cottage pie which is what they were serving is made with beef. I may be wrong but, being born in Scotland, I have never had a tomato based Shepherd's pie. It tasted like yesterdays meatloaf with vegies added and topped with un-browned mashed potatoes. I don't think there was even a drop of Worcestershire. While the dish was not inedible it definitely was not what I was expecting. Just all the wrong flavors."

"The chalk of salt offers delicious curry and butter chicken. all their curries are gf and they have even verified that their wobbles will not be fried in rubbish. a large part of their good is gf or can be gf by choosing rice instead of naan. I love this restaurant and recommend it to any of my friends on the look for a delicious gf option. yum!"
